Sam

When I get home, I immediately get in the shower to try to clear my head. I'm so conflicted right now and it's driving me crazy.

One minute she says for me to stay away from her and she just wants to be friends, but the next minute she's confessing her love to me.

Then there's the elephant in the room.

Jason.

I sigh and lean back against the shower wall.

"Okay, so I know how I feel and I know what I want. I want her but I can't have her yet. She tells me that she wants me and that she feels the same way but then turns around and acts like that with him? Am I being selfish? Maybe I'm blinded by my own feelings?"

I sigh again as I pace back and forth in the shower before I finish washing my hair.

Who knew loving someone could be so exhausting?

I dry myself off once I get out the shower and head into my bedroom.

I don't plan on doing anything until tomorrow so I put on some sleeping pants and a tank top so that I can relax for the night.

As I'm getting out stuff for dinner, I hear a knock at the door.

"Weird, I wasn't expecting anyone."

I go check the peep hole and I'm surprised to see Paige standing outside in nothing but a tank top and sweats.

I quickly open the door and usher her inside.

"Paige? what are you doing out there? It's freezing!"

I rush into the living room to grab a blanket and wrap it around her.

I gently rub her arms with the blanket trying to warm her up because her nose is slightly red from the cold.

"S-sorry for not calling, Jason went out with some friends and I got bored being there alone so i decided to stop by."

I shake my head laughing a little.

"I don't mind at all doll, but next time you should probably bundle up a little more. It's pretty cold out there."

She blushes a little and nods.

As we make our way into the kitchen, we start to talk about work like we usually do.

She starts telling me about how this one kid in her class has been causing problems lately and it's starting to get out of hand.

He has apparently been flipping chairs and ripping up all of the paper in his desk the past few days and the school isn't handling it very well.

I hear her sigh and put the food on low before making my way over to sit by her.

"I just don't know what to do about him. When he's not like this he's such a good kid but little things just set him off."

She rubs her temple seeming stressed out so I gently turn her around in the chair.

She looks back at me confused until I start to gently massage her shoulders.

Smiling, she leans back against me enjoying the relaxing feeling.

"Just try to Calm down babe, everything will be okay. You'll figure out what to do with him and if not, I'll come in and straighten him out for you."

She looks back at me smiling.

"By that you mean scare him straight?"

I feign innocence looking up at the ceiling.
