One week later
"No I don't have anything to do today I don't have any classes and this is normally the day I go read for the kids but their school is closed today because of heating issues so ima just stay in the house and chill until y'all get home"

me and all the boys were currently at the table eating breakfast and Ari asked me what I had planned for today "ight well just make sure you don't sleep all day because you and Ace have to meet my parents today for dinner"

I rolled my eyes "do I have to go I don't wanna" he nodded "watch yourself but yes y'all do have to come my parents found out that I have new partners so they requested to meet y'all so we are going to their house for dinner tonight"

I'm not good with new people as you all seen so I'm not looking forward to meeting his parents mostly because I'm not changing my personality for nobody

*time jump*
Ight so we just pulled up to Ari parents house and I'm kinda nervous first off this house looks big as fuck and it's like 3 cars in the driveway I hope it's not a lot of people in here

"Come on baby stop acting scared my parents don't bite" how the fuck am I supposed to know that but I just hurried out the car then I stood behind Ace because of course the parents will notice Ari and Juni first

*knock knock knock knock* my heart just dropped it's not to late to go back to the car right let me try I then slightly pulled away from Aces hand and all I heard was "no." I just huffed and put my head down

Only for me to hear a female voice as the door opened "oh my goodness my baby boy how have you been son" Ari chuckled "mom we talked two days ago you acting like you ain't hear from me in years"

"I know but you know I love you so much I just miss you" she then shifted her eyes to Juni and her face dropped but she quickly put a fake smile back on "hello legacy how have you been honey"

"I've been alright Mrs.Simpson and you" oh they are real bougie over here oh my fucking gosh "I'm very well and these must be the people of the hour how are y'all doing today"

I looked up at Ace but didn't say anything out of being very nervous "I'm doing good ma'am it's a pleasure to meet you" Ace said

Then he looked down to me and I just said "hi" her face shifted at me not being as enthusiastic as everyone else but I don't know what she wants me to do

"Alright well y'all come get out of this cold Ari baby please take your partner's jackets and hang them up please" Ari nodded and waited for us to take off our jackets before taking them and walking away

"While he's putting your things away dinner is just about ready so y'all can follow me to the dining room  while we wait for my daughter and my husband to come down"

We all nodded then followed her to the dining and we sat down "Legacy honey do you mind helping me get dinner set up" he shook his head no then stood up and disappeared with Mrs.Simpson in the kitchen

"What's wrong" Ace whispered I turned to look at him "I don't wanna be here she doesn't even like Juni and she's known him longer than us"

Ace shook his head "maybe they just have a rocky past Ari and Juni have been together for a long time just don't worry about it" I nodded my head then I heard Ari's voice coming from the living room then we seen him walk in with two girl one was dark skin and skinny

And the other one looked exactly the same just light skin "hey babe's this is my little sister safiya and her best friend Nova" Ace waved and said "nice to meet you ladies I'm Avion but everybody calls me Ace" the light skin girl looked ace up and down like he was her last meal

But I tried to ignore it because I didn't wanna show my ass in these people house "I'm chosen" I said very straight forward like I wasn't interested in talking to them which I wasn't and hopefully they take my hint

"Oh my goodness you must be the girl my pops talks so highly about your the honors student and future validation" his sister said very sarcastically but Ace quickly pushed her shoulder

So I sat up from my slouching position but Ace quickly pushed my back down and started rubbing my thigh for comfort then whispered in my ear "calm down it's ok we won't be here long"

I just huffed as I sat back in my chair but I think god had my back because seconds later Juni and Mrs.Simpson came out with the food and Mr.Simpson was coming down the steps

"Hey son what's going on" Mr.Simpson and Ari talked for a minute until he turned around and seen me and Ace "well I'll be damned you didn't tell me your new partners were these two they are the smartest two in the whole

School they both have a 4.0 gpa along with doing community service, participating in school sports events,and working with kids these two are astonishing"

Me and Ace chuckled because all these things are true but we don't brag we are just regular students "oh really what do you two go to school for"

Ari mom asked us as she came out with a big tray of Mac and cheese "well I go to school for technical engineering" Ace said with a smile on his face

"And I go to school for criminal justice phycology" his mom gave us her first genuine smile and said "you parents must be very proud you two sound like very well rounded people"

I was about to say thank you before I heard the light skin girl say "damn he's fine and smart I want me some of him"
