king's tide Pt. 2 (Ch. 20)

I feel like I'm going to accidentally write "then we got shit at" again cause of stupid autocorrect, luckily I'm proof reading this time 👍

-Luzs POV-

I bust through the doors as belos, who was now a goop monster, chased me, I was panicking a bit too,
*'god I hope the others are okay!'*
I ran out of breath and stopped, I looked at the monster accepting my fate... When suddenly it was wrapped in vines and thrown to the floor, I stared in shock as all my friends stood there

"Come one Luz! Wouldn't think we would let you die huh?" Willow saud smiling, they looked dirty... Dirt was all over their clothes, face and hair and not to mention hunters veins were glowing yellow! I shook my head to snap me out of my thoughts and grabbed some glyphs, striking at the monster

-Gus POV-

I quickly backed away and took the mirror that I had stolen from Adrian out of my ear, I ran back up to the monster and drew a circle

"How about we calm you down belos!" Then I activated the spell, I watched as pictures of someone and that Philp guy appear, the other guy looked alot like hunter... Suddenly one caught my eye... A grimwalker rising up- wait- does that mean-

Before I could look further in, hunter dashed towards me and brought me backwards before belos could hot me, he ended up dropping me tho, I think because of the draining spell... I came out of the trances and was shocked
*'hunters a grimwalker?!'*

Then the monster charged at us, his head and face turning back to his normal one

-Hunters POV-

I gripped my staff harder as my uncle charged at me, his head and face turning back to his normal one

"Hunter why are you hurting me?! I only wanted to protect you!" He genuinely sounded sorry...
"Y-you're lying!" He then looked at my palismen and fiery covered his face
"KILL HIM!" he then turned back into his monster form...

I wondered down some stairs I found, the others wanted me away from the danger... It's not fair! I'm a titan I can take this! Then I saw kikimora

"Uhhhhh" she looked at me "do you know if belos can-"
"He can not... Only they can..."
"Who's they?"
"the Collector..."
"Collector?"
"The Collector is not a witch or demon, but a child-like entity from the stars... Belos use to talk to them when no one was around... But I was always listening!.. belos was afraid of them..."
"Well can you take me to them?" I asked
"If that means kicking the emperor's butt!" She stood up "then gladly..." She looked down the long stair well

Once down their cause my brains going fuzzy

I looked around at all the broken and discarded golden guard masks... Boy hunter wouldn't like this... Suddenly kikimora stopped, I peered past her to see a disk in a jacket hooked onto something, I gulped and walked towards it, I stuck my finger out and pressed it against the disk

-The Collectors POV-

Ugh! Philp touched my disk again! What does that fibber want! I pouted and came out

"What do you want! I don't associate with fibbers!" I had my eyes closed but I decide to open one
"Hey... I know someone's there! But why can't I see you..." I was deep In thought when the person reveled themselves, I gasped and laughed
"You look the person who put me in here!" Then something hit me "no way! Are you his titan baby? I've always wanted to play with you!" I circled around them, they seemed really nervous...
"Hey do you like hide and seek?! Ooh! I'll hide firsts!" I went to hide when suddenly they decide to talk

"Umm Mr Collector, I would like to talk to you"
"Ughhhhh boringggggg" I groaned
"Well how about we play a game?" I was interested now
"What game?" I asked
"The owl house"

-Luzs POV-

We were all cornered now... Hunter couldn't do anything cause of how weak he is at the moment, Willow was holding hunter, gus was terrified, amity also and I just couldn't do anything... Belos turned his hand into a scythe and raised his hand upwards and brought it down fast, I brought amity closer and closed my eyes expecting to get hit... But we never did-? I opened my eyes to see a- child? Holding onto the end of the scythe, they turned around and faced belos

"Whatcha playin?" Belos walked away from them- he seemed scared
"C-collector! See your freed, just like promised!"
"As promised? I remember someone throwing me off a bridge! But I'm not angry tho!" They smiled
"Say wanna play tag?" The moved their finger in a circular motion and brought belos closer to them
"I'm it..." They tapped belos on the head and he went flying backwards and he splattered on the wall

-Narators POV-

The Collector giggled and turned back around to face Luz, amity, Willow, Gus and hunter, who were horrified to say the least
"You seem slow" they said while walking closer "do you need a head start?" Suddenly king got inbetween them

"COLLECTOR! Buddy, pal!" King Said in a nervous and hurried tone
"King!" The collector said happily
"Remember what I said? We need lots of players so we can play owl house!"

"Owl house? Oh- I love that game!" Luz Said adding a nervous laugh at the end
"The memories last a lifetime!" Amity added
"I play it everyday!' Willow said
"I play it every hour!" Gus laughed
"Hmmuuuuueeeee" hunter attempted to smile but the pain was too much, the collector seemed to nod and walk past them and to one of the eyes of the Titan, he peered out and opened his eyes wider to look at everyone near the podium area, they then looked up at the moon

"Boop!" They moved the moon out of the way and smiled...

-Hunters POV-

Suddenly I felt the pain leaving my body, I looked down at my arm to see that my veins weren't glowing anymore

"Heh..." The collector said turning back around
"If we're gonna play owl house... WE'RE GONNA NEED AN OWL HOUSE!" They shot up into the air and the things around them began crumbling and breaking

"Look guys the portal!" Willow pointed at the portal which seemed to be glowing, we all ran over there and Gus opened the portal, we just kinda stood there till Gus said it was human rain amd that it won't hurt, we trusted him and ran through it, amity was about to but stopped-

-Amitys POV-

I was about to run through the portal but something felt off... I looked behind me and gasped

"Luz?" Lus was using plant glyphs to hold the portal together- oh no no no no no no
"Luz come on!" The others began coming back through the portal

-Luzs POV-

I just gotta keep this portal together... They need to be safe!

"King?! Your promised you'd play with me! You pinky swore!" I didn't know what was happening but it felt king being pulled back harder, i groaned as it hurt, I heard amity shout my name but I didn't care... I wasn't leaving him!

"We gotta stick together! We gotta stick together!!" I looked at him with tears in my eyes
"I'm sorry... But not this time" the words broke me
"But I can keep you safe..."
"No..!" Tears began rolling down my face
"Luz, I'm so happy I had you as a big sister!" Then king blasted me back with his powers, separating us, I ended up hitting the others and we all tumbled through the portal

"King!" I got up and ran towards the door but it slammed shut, I opened it quickly and stared in shock and confusion, I kept opening it and closing it until it hit me...

The portals closed... I can't go back-

King's life still hits like a truck even tho I've watched it so many times...
