The following morning, there were no words exchanged over breakfast. Mrs. Weasley had given up on trying to keep morale up. It was too hard. She was too deep in her own grief to even manage a fake smile anymore. Instead, she fussed over her children as much as she could.
Ron was the last downstairs, rubbing his eyes and slipping the last step as he yawned. Luna managed to see this out of the corner of her eye from where she was sipping her tea and flicked her wand to catch him before he landed in a heap. "Merlin!" He yawned again, looking back as if waiting for the stair to move. "Thanks, Luna," he offered her a half smile.
"No problem," she smiled. "Although I think it may be -"
"Nargles?" Ron offered smirking.
"Well, I was going to say a loose floorboard, but you believe what you want, Ron." She shrugged, sipping on her tea once more.
Harry had an urge to almost smile. Almost.
"So," Arthur Weasley said, as he did every morning, trying to get a conversation going instead of the awkward silence that fell over the table. "What are everyone's plans for today?"
"I am going with Luna to the hospital to see her dad," Ginny spoke up with a piece of toast in her hand.
"How is he?" Ron asked with a concerned look on his face.
"Much the same. They say that his body needs time to recover, and he will wake up when he is healed and ready. But he is strong, so I am sure he will...be...fine," Luna said, trailing off. "And then I have to head to the Ministry to meet this family member who has agreed to take me in while my dad heals."
"You have no idea who they are?" Hermione asked.
"None. They didn't give me her name. Just that she is apparently my aunt. Kingsley said all will be revealed today. Although I have a fair idea...possibly."
"We will meet you at the Ministry. We will take you to see Kingsley after the trials." Harry offered. He didn't like the idea of her going on her own.
"That would be lovely."
"Trials?" George asked. It was the first time in days that he had said anything, so everyone was a little shocked.
"Um...yes." Harry started not exactly knowing what to say.
"Harry and I have decided to speak on behalf of a few wizards on trial today." Hermione quickly explained.
"Death Eaters, you mean," Ron snapped. He could not understand why they were even considering it. Actually, when McGonagall spoke to them, Ron had thought it must have been some sort of joke. He expected his friends to side with him.
He had been wrong.
"Ron, please...." Hermione practically sobbed.
"It's the right thing to do," Harry said defiantly. "You know it -"
"I fucking do NOT!" Ron bellowed. He was shaking with fury.
"Who is on trial today?" Molly asked looking between her son and his best friends.
Harry sighed. "Blaise Zabini....and Draco Malfoy."

The young brunette was rushing through the foyer of the Ministry. She couldn't believe she was late. She was never bloody late. Why did she spend so much time getting ready this morning? She never put so much effort into her outfits, makeup or hair before so why did she feel that today was so important?
Was it because she was seeing him again? She blushed.
Her uncle was going to kick her ass!
She straightened up her short brown hair flailing behind her as she ran. She also cursed herself for wearing heels today of all damn days, too. Her uncle was really going to blow a fuse. She jumped into the lift and startled the couple standing at the back of the small box, looking at her like she was a mad woman. Perfect, she thought as she caught her breath. "Sorry," she gasped, trying not to wheeze. "I ran...a lot and I....have a damn stitch! Oh, dear god!" She cried out, leaning over.
