I wake up to my phone ringing, I did a double take at the contact
Y/n: is this a butt dial ? I asked into the phone hearing a room full of laughter
K: I told ya she was gonna be funny Kai said to his people walking somewhere far enough to fade the laughter
Y/n: how am I funny ,when you playing on my phone at 3am
I asked getting irritated , why he thought he could just call after what happened
Kai and I both grew up together in the Bronx , we were closer to each other then anyone else but after he blew up and started streaming we just drifted apart
K: I'm not playing, I wanted to talk to you
Y/n: why? You need something from me or what ?
K: I wanted to check on you see how you doing ,I heard you are in Atlanta?
Y/n: you're serious or are you streaming?
I said out of pure pettiness, after all this time he hasn't care how I've been
K: why you being like that ?
Y/n: maybe cause when I call your phone there's no answer but your calling out the blue after a whole year
K: I thought we was best friends
Y/n: Are we? Cause I check up on my friends and they do the same for me
K: y/n I missed you , I don't want to lose you
Y/n: Kai I'll always be in your life but you have to make an effort , we both do
K: I promise you , so I wanted to ask if you could come to my birthday party
Y/n: oh that's this weekend? Your really turning 21
K: yeah I'm a grown man now ,ain't it crazy how time flies
Y/n: yeah it is , so about your party ?
K:what about it?
He asked in his joking tone and I rolled my eyes before answering him
Y/n: I'll be there , just send me the info

Y/n : bye Kai
I said hanging up and laying back down in a huff
"Stupid , you told yourself you were over this " I said out loud to my self
