Today I was super excited to meet with Chan , ever since I've been treating him he's been progressing more and more .
The security guard couldn't even catch up with me as I made my way to his room
Y/n: hey chan
I said as the security opened the door , he stood up and let them check the room before I was allowed to step inside , once I did he quickly ambraced me in a hug which made the security guards panic
Y/n: it's ok , I'm fine with it
C: yeah leave us alone He said holding me tighter making me laugh
Y/n: ok that's enough , I have some good news
C: okay what's up
Y/n: well I have been talking with the head doctor and he agreed to let me build you a recording studio
C: what ?! For me ?
Y/n: well it's for everyone who wants to be involved, he is starting a music program here since multiple patients seem to enjoy it , he even said he'd let you teach some of the others how to play instruments
C: are you serious?
Y/n: yeah I am , He noticed that you been improving , your more active and social than you've been in a while they just want to see how you'd adjust to new interactions
C: wow , thank you y/n He reached to hug me again and I allowed it
Y/n: don't mention it , I still gotta run some test on you and check your vitals
C: ok I'm ready
He let me know and I started working with him , he told me all about the things he's been doing since the last time I saw him , whether it was exercising or just reading a new book
C: oh and I wrote a new song
Y/n: really it's the first one you've written since you got here, what it about ?
C: I shouldn't say , it's kind of embarrassing
Y/n: I won't judge you , my job is to help you understand your feelings and music is your way of expressing them so it would helped me understand you
C: it's about being in a dark and lonely place and then you meet someone who makes you feel loved
Y/n: that's interesting, what will you name it ?
C: I don't know yet , I have some ideas but it's not where I really want it to be right now
Y/n: well I'd love to hear it when it's ready
Time skip
After my lunch break I made it to the children ward , it was quiet which was weird I speed walked to the children common area to see why it was so quiet
C: which one do you guys want me to read next ?
Chan asked the kids as they all layed on the floor in a circle listening to him read
Y/n: hey guys
The kids all screamed my name and greeted me
Y/n: what are you doing here ?
I asked Chan as they pulled me to the floor
C: I got some extra time out of my room today and I was exploring and just ended up here
Y/n: how are you feeling?
C: I'm okay , I'm happy
Y/n: good then I'll leave you to it , im going to go check on some patients and we'll go back to your room for our session
I explained before checking on some kids in the ward , I've been feeling a little guilty that I haven't been giving them my full attention since I took Chan on as a patient so I try getting more hours to stay with them
When I came back I saw most of the kids asleep as Chan played a guitar and sunging them a lullaby, I just sat and watched him for a few minutes until he was finished
C: are you ready ? He said snapping me out of the trance I seemed to be in and I nodded
Y/n: uh yeah , I have to page the nurses to put the kids in their beds
C: oh no worries I can help you do it
Y/n: no Chan , you don't have to do th-
C: i want to help you , your always helping me I'm just trying to repay you
Y/n: ok just get the door for me
He obeyed my instructions and I got each child into their rooms quickly and then left to chan's room the guard had to search him before we could go in
C: I got something I wanted to show you
Y/n: okay
Rummaging through his belongings before pulling out his notebook and flipping through the pages before stopping on a page and handing it to me
Y/n: what is this?
C: it's the song I told u about , I wrote it for you
He said smiling at me urging me to read it
C: it's called Love stay , I thought about how you helped me when I was at my lowest point and how you treated me from the very beginning. I felt alone for so many years but you were always there for me and you showed me a type of love that I have been craving for forever and I'm addicted to it, im addicted to you y/n
He confessed to me nonchalantly as he stared at me waiting for my reaction , I was shocked by his confession to say the least but I was flattered . Chan is a prefect gentleman, he's handsome, smart , thoughtful, talented, and caring. Anyone would be lucky to have him , to be loved by him....
....But I can't entertain this at all
Y/n: this is very sweet Chan , im happy to hear how much I've been able to help you and I've loved building a friendship with you but that's the farthest it can go
C: oh I- I- I'm sorry
Y/n: there's no need to apologize, I appreciate you expressing your feelings it lets me know that you're growing . This job is my passion and I love it so much , I would never do anything to jeopardize my position
C: I would never want you to do that , but if I wasn't in here would you feel the same way?
Y/n: I shouldn't answer that
I said trying to hide my blush but he moved my hand away from my face
C: I will make it out of here , and you and I will be together I'll make sure of it
Y/n: okay Chan , I've got to head out I'll see you soon
I hugged him and left his room before going home for the night
