I was doing a check up on one of my patients when I was summoned by the head doctor on the loud speaker
Y/n: good afternoon doctor
D: hello y/n, I'm giving you a new assignment
Y/n: a new assignment, I didn't see any new patients come in
I said in confusion I was mostly in charge of the children here but I also check people in
D: this patient isn't new , Christopher Bahng
He said catching me off guard , Even though we aren't supposed to talk about the patients some of the nurses gossip so I heard of Christopher but he was a high level case so we never crossed paths .
D: are you familiar?
Y/n: not really , my main focus are the kids and isn't he 25
D: yes he is but I've been monitoring him and he's become stagnant in his recovery and I've been seeing a decline in the process, I've figured that I'd introduce him to someone new and see if he opens up
Y/n: okay I understand , i will need a moment to read the case file
D: that's no problem, here it is
He gave me the file and excused me , I immediately opened it up to look it over
Notes: claims to be the leader of a singing group , he is always worried about the "members" of the group and has frequent nightmares
I skimmed through the information , there was not much which surprised me since he been here for 2 years already . I got my notepad and made my way to his room . I had to go past a security gate which made me a little nervous knowing there were dangerous people here and I was escorted to his room by a guard , once they opened the door I stepped in to see he was sitting at his desk fiddling with his fingers
Y/n: hello
He only turned around when I spoke up , he looked surprised to see me
Y/n: I'm y/n ,im your new nurse it's nice to meet you Christopher
C: it's Chan He corrected me before fully facing me
C: you look like a child , are you even old enough to be a nurse ?
I shrugged him off and started writing down some notes , he watched me closely
Y/n: so do you know why I'm here ?
C: it's probably because I made the other nurse cry ,i didn't mean too but seungmin kept making jokes about her wig
I gave him a worried look which he chuckled at
C: don't worry, seungmin likes your wig
Y/n: seungmin? Is he a member of your group? I've heard you make really good songs
C: yes and it is good, I make most of the music with my other members
Y/n: how many members are in your group?
C: it used to be nine but I've lost one member woojin
He said frowning I could tell that it really upset him
Y/n: what about your other members what are they like ?
C: well leeknow loves cats more than people , changbin and Han are my best friends ,hyunjin loves to draw , Felix likes to bake , seungmin is the joker and jeonjin is the fashionable one, he's the baby of the group
Y/n: they sound wonderful , can you tell me how you met them?
C: well it's kinda sad but there's a sorta happy ending
Y/n: that's okay , you can tell me
I gave him a reassuring smile and let him talk
C: I was a trainee since I was 13 and it was very hard from the beginning. I was away from my parents and siblings , I was put on all these crazy diets and had 20 hour practice sessions but I liked it because of my friends, the other trainees who I made a special bond with. But then my company decided to remove everyone from the trainee program except for me
Y/n: wow everyone except you , you've must've been really talented
C: yeah but I didn't feel like it , I just felt lucky and I was alone so they worked me 30 times harder, I was diagnosed with anxiety when I was 13 , depression at 14 and I lost motivation , then I met the boys and they're all I have
Y/n: you know that's not true right ? You have your family ,they love you
C: if they loved me I wouldn't be stuck here
Y/n: They want to protect you Chan , they brought you here because we can help you feel better, happier
C: well I've been here for long enough and I can tell you im not happy
He said making me upset for him ,I pride myself on knowing that most of my patients have been comfortable enough to make their recovery so why aren't any of the nurses making sure that their patients are properly treated and cared for
Y/n: what would make you happy ? Some thing I can bring in to make your day
He pondered for a moment before smiling at me
C: a keyboard maybe ?
Y/n: ok , that's a bit random but consider it done
I said packing up my things to wrap up our session, I give Chan a friendly wave before making my way to the door, once it open Chan called out to me
C: hey y/n, thank you
Y/n: no problem
I said making my way to my office to figure out how to get a keyboard by tomorrow.
