I was woken up by a knock on my door , I lazily shouted a "come in" before sitting up fully . My favorite house keeper came in with a coffee
H: good morning Ms.Davis , your father requested your appearance at today's breakfast , he said he had something to announce
I huffed before I asked her to help me decide what to wear. My father , Raymond Davis was a successful businessman and he worked a lot so I was mainly on my own if he was away but when he comes home he tries to spend as much time with me as possible
Y/n: you said he had something to announce, did he tell you what it was ??
H: No , but he had a meeting with a young man earlier this morning he probably has something to do with it
Y/n: a young man ? Do you think he's marrying me off ?
I said in confusion, I knew my dad wasn't like that but it just made me wonder
H: I doubt that , wear this breakfast will be served shortly
She said handing me a simple dress that I haven't worn yet , I quickly put it on and I put my hair up before the home keeper brought me down

I said to the house staff as i walked through the house and into the dining room , my father was sat alone in his chair reading his newspaper when I walked in , I didn't notice the unfamiliar boy standing in the corner of the room until I sat in my seat

I quietly said to the boy before our food was served to us , my father put his newspaper away before he thanked the chef
R: it's nice to see you y/n
Y/n: you too , how was Barcelona?
R: hot , but business is successful
Y/n: like always , anything new ?
I said looking at the boy in the corner who has yet to say a word, my father noticed me and chuckled
R: yes actually, I'm working on that hotel I've been telling you about and I need to travel again for the construction and it will be a long time
Y/n: how long ?
R: a year , maybe more
Y/n: oh that's more then before
R:I know but it's urgent
He said reassuring me , i never missed my dad when he was away because he's usually back in a month but a whole year by myself was something I didn't know was even possible
R: I know your old enough to take care of yourself but if something happens I won't be able to be there as soon as possible like before . I reached out to my colleague and they recommended I hire Mr.lee
