I was nervous about the meeting my parents set up , I was an heiress to one of the most well known business man in Japan . I was my father's only daughter so I was always getting involved in the business somehow , tonight my dad and I was meeting with a potential partner for our new business merger and my parents are counting on me to seal the deal

I got dressed up and arrived early to the restaurant to prepare myself when I realized my father was running a little later then usual, I got a text from him

F: Mr.Nishimura has just informed me he will not be able to make it to the meeting

F: he is sending his young son Riki so I've decided I'd sit this meeting out and let you figure it out

My eyes widen at the name written in the text , I was having dinner with Riki Nishimura the heir of Nishimura tech he was famous for being the hottest heir in Japan . He was known for his talent in music and his fashion sense but also his attitude he often carried a cold expression . I noticed him walking in the restaurant he spoke to the host before she brought him over to our table, I got up once he arrived and bowed respectfully to him which he returned

Y/n: hi I'm y/n lim from lim & Co. it's a pleasure to meet you Riki

He looked me up and down before sitting down

N: it's Niki , let's start discussing the merger I don't plan on staying long

He said looking over the menu , I sat back in my seat and looked at my menu as well

Y/n: so I'm not sure if you spoke with your father about the contracts but I heard from my father that he changed the strategy

N: yeah he did , he made an arrangement that would speed up the merger it's stupid and you shouldn't agree to it

Y/n: well no business deal is a stupid one , we can work through the issue just let me review the new contract

I asked him to see the contract and he hesitantly opened his briefcase and handed me the file , I almost fell out my chair when I read the contract

N: you okay Ms. Lim ?

Y/n: I think this is a mistake, this is a marriage contract . My parents are already married so this will not work

He chuckled at me before leaning closer and pointed out the print under the lines waiting for a signature

Y/n: this is for us? and you agreed to this ?

N: it's just a piece of paper, we can both resume our lives just the way it was before

Y/n: niki I don't think you understand, we will be married but we don't know each other and we are both really young

N: listen my father really wants this merger he's been bugging me about it for a while and wants me to get it done, but if you were to decline that would take the blame off of me

Y/n: mine does as well , this is actually really important to my parents and I promised to not screw this up so I can't decline

I looked over the marriage contract once again before looking at Niki again

N: so you're actually considering it ?

Y/n: you were the one who said this was just a piece of paper , This business offer is the best one I've ever seen I just don't think we would ever get a better offer than this one

I tried to make sense of all this , My family's business was very important to me and I would never do anything to jeopardize it like turning this merger down

Y/n: I'll have to take the offer into consideration, I'll have your answer by the end of the week

I said about to get up to leave when the waiter finally came
