Ryuuen was accompanied by Yamada, Ibuki, and Ishizaki.

"Do you have business with me, Ryuuen-kun?"

"I just wanted to see what the guy who put a dent in my plans on the island was all about, but you don't look like much."

"Well, I only played a small role in that. Horikita-san's the one who deserves the credit."

"That's not what I'm talking about. I mean the encounter between my guys and your group on the island."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

I don't need Honami to hear about that part.

"Is that right? Then, what about what you did for this challenge? You've got balls to put in a guess that early."

"Umm, thanks?"

I thought he was done questioning me, but he kept standing there.

"Is... there anything else?"

Ryuuen came and wedged himself between me and Honami.

"Something's been bugging me ever since I heard your name. Have we met before coming to this school?"

I guess word spread out further than I expected back then.

"I think I'd remember meeting someone like you so no."

"I'm not convinced. I'm sure I've heard about you somewhere. No matter-"

He stepped away from our table.

"-I'm sure it'll come back to me eventually. Have fun with your girlfriends."

It'll be bothersome if he recalls the reason he's heard of me, but I need to prepare myself for that possibility.

"Hisashi, when he said he recognizes your name, do you think he means-?"

"Yeah, probably."

"You've met Ryuuen before high school?"

Unlike Honami, her classmates don't know about that.

"Not exactly. It's a little more complicated than that."

"About what Ryuuen-kun said before that, did something happen between the four of you and them?"

Uh-oh.

"No-"

"Yeah, it was huge!"

Before I could say anything, Satou proceeded to explain the whole sequence of events that took place back on the island.

"Woah, you really did that, Morimoto-kun?"

"That's incredible!"

While Honami's classmates found my actions impressive, Honami seemed less than pleased.

"L-Listen, sis, I didn't have a choice. I needed to get them to leave somehow. Plus, I wasn't exactly alone back there."

Sensing the discomfort in the air, the others interjected.

"Y-Yeah, Ichinose, Morimoto was only trying to protect us. Please don't blame him."

"Sigh. I know, I know. It's just that, as his sister, I don't like seeing him get dragged into these kinds of situations."

"Sorry, I unfortunately have a knack for getting into trouble. Now that they're gone, why don't we get back to enjoying our meal?"

Thankfully, we didn't encounter anymore unwanted interruptions and were able to finish our food in peace. After that, me and my classmates got up and left Honami's table. I felt a little more full than usual, probably due to having another breakfast.
