"So Thor was right. I did kinda save him that day." I mumbled, Loki breaking the spell between us.

"Yes, though I still don't think the oaf needed it. I don't know if Thor told you, but we did end up meeting again. Mother offered to help teach you some seidr while in thanks of saving Thor. She also wanted to know more about your own magic, seeing as she, too, came from a family of witches.

"I, for one, did not like the idea of having to share seidr classes with- what I thought at the time to be- a lowly Midgardian witch. Mother, on the other hand, disliked how I was badmouthing someone who had just helped the crown and said that if I refused to learn beside you, then I was refusing to learn at all."

"Sounds like Frigga," I chuckled.

"Yes, well, I eventually caved-"

"Because gods know you take your studies far too seriously not to." My eyes furrowed at my words, uncertain of where they came from seeing as Loki and I have never discussed anything education-wise.

"Exactly..." Loki mumbled as he stared at me, also seeming surprised at my comment. "Um, it took us a while to become civil towards one another, mainly because I would not be the kindest to you, making you understandably be unkind back."

"Were we at each other's throats?"

"Every lesson." Loki smiled, seeming to think back on our supposed history. "Eventually, mother had us do summoning lessons, and once we were able to do larger things, we learned how to summon people."

"So she made us summon each other." Something flashed in my mind, though it wasn't there long enough for me to properly understand what was going through my brain.

"Yes. You did it first a few times, and after the second perfectly summoning me to your side. I, however, was having some trouble. After just about my sixth try, I was able to clumsily summon you, though you ended up falling into my arms, making both of us fall to the ground.

Neither of us knew what, but something just... clicked... at that moment. We were no longer hostile towards each other and slowly got to know one another, becoming somewhat friends. Eventually, it was time for my family to leave Midgard and come back home, making me leave you behind."

Something heavy fell on my chest then, a feeling I hadn't expected to feel while talking about my forgotten past.

"While Odin never let me bring you here, Mother did help me sneak out of Asgard and come back to Midgard to visit you. It's lonely here, when your only friend was far away in another realm."

I saw the sadness in Loki's eyes as he talked, thinking about how it was being by himself while his best friend was on another planet.

"After a few centuries of the two of us getting closer, we became more than friends. It actually happened soon after Odin finally allowed you to visit Asgard for the first time. I think the two of us were so caught up in everything that we let our guards down and revealed something we had been hiding for so long."

"And what would that be?"

"That we loved each other."

My breath seemed to catch in my throat at his words. I mean, this is crazy, right? Not to long ago I was calling him a psychopath and complaining about having to watch over him, and now I'm learning that I'm a few hundred years old and loved said psychopath?!

"I um... I think I'm going to go. I just- I just need to clear my head."

"Alex wait-"

Loki's voice quickly faded as I ran back to my room, both hands full of the skirt of my dress so I could run properly. It was times like this that I was also glad Natasha taught me how to run in heels.

"Lady Alex? What is..."

"Not now, Thor," I grumbled as I slowed my pace, opening my bedroom door and slamming it shut.

"Alex, what is wrong? Did something happen out there with Loki? Sif told me when she came back in that you two were talking about something."

"Go away, Thor." I felt like I was about to explode. My body felt tense, and I could feel my powers swirling around me, trying to get out.
