The plan was now in motion, and everyone was quick to do their part. Val was off to set the prisoners free with Bruce, while Thor, Loki, and I worked on getting the ship. The boys were to be my muscle while I typed in the security codes needed to get in.
"Hey, so, listen. We should talk." Thor leaned against a wall, blaster propped on the wall beside him while Loki casually stood beside me.
"I disagree. Open communication was never our family's forte." The two walked ahead of me as I got the doors open.
"You have no idea. Been quite the revelation since we last spoke. Though Alex seems to do a good job getting you to open up."
"That's only cause she forces it out of me."
"You make it sound like I torture it out of you!" I frowned
Both men quickly pointed their blasters at the guards a few feet away.
"Hello."
"Hi."
I snorted at their greeting, watching the pretty pinkish blast come out of both guns, green blasts trying and failing to reach us in return. Loki quickly dragged me to the side, both brothers moving behind the wall.
"Odin brought us together. It's almost poetic that his death should split us apart." Loki said, right before the two came out of hiding, protecting me while I walked right to the next control panel. "We might as well be strangers now. Two sons of the crown, set adrift."
"Loki, I'm not keeping Thor away from our daughter." I quickly glared at the god before closing the door behind us, keeping any other guards out.
"Woah, take a girl to dinner first, gents'." I put my hands up in surrender as a blaster was thrust in front of my face as soon as the next door opened. I backed up a bit, letting Thor hit the tip of the guard's blaster, sending him flying toward the ceiling.
"Thought you didn't want to talk about it," Thor commented as Loki watched the flying guard land at his feet with a thud.
"Here's the thing." I groaned as my husband started what was bound to be a long rant, the three of us walking into an elevator. "Alex and I are honestly probably better off staying here on Sakaar."
"That's exactly what I was thinking."
"Did you just agree with me?"
"We are not staying on Sakaar."
"Oh, come on, this place is perfect for you two. It's savage, chaotic, lawless. Brother you, for one, are going to do great here."
"Do you truly think so little of me?"
"Loki I thought the world of you." The brothers stared at one another, the growing conversation making my heart ach for each god. "I thought we were gonna fight side by side forever. But, at the end of the day, you're you and I'm me. And... I don't know, maybe there's still good in you. But, let's be honest, our paths diverged a long time ago."
Loki's mouth opened and closed before he pressed his lips together nodding his head. "Yeah. It's probably for the best that we never see each other again."
"That's what you always wanted." Thor awkwardly patted Loki on the back. "Hey, let's do "Get Help."
"What?" Loki looked at his brother, confused.
"Get help."
"No."
"Yes!" I cheered, a smile quickly growing on my face.
"Come on, you love it."
"I hate it."
"I love it!"
