"My queen, Heimdall has requested your presence at the Bifrost. He said it was urgent." One of the guards told me.
Loki and I were in the middle of a council meeting about creating a new school for children with seidr. They weren't the most accommodating to our request.
"Go ahead, my dear. I'm sure the council and I can come to a decision on our own." Loki, disguised as Odin, nodded, and I could see that famous twinkle of mischief in his eyes.
"If you are sure." I smiled, nodding. I quickly stood from my spot, kissed Loki's cheek, and walked out of the room with the guard.
The two of us walked down the palace halls, smiling at all the workers who bowed as we passed by. It took a while, but we eventually made it to the carriage, the guard helping me in and sending it off.
"You asked for me?" I questioned as I walked into the dome, Heimdall closing it behind me.
"It is time. He is free."
"What, Winter? He's okay, he's away from Hydra?" I rushed out, eyes widening."Yes. He is wandering Midgard now, uncertain of what shall become of him now that he is away."
"Where is he? Take me to him." I quickly went to the platform.
"He is in Washington DC, entering the Smithsonian as we speak."
"Great. Take me to one of the secluded areas nearby. One where people won't notice the bright beam coming out of the sky.""Your wish is my command," Heimdall said as he put his sword in the slot, starting the Bifrost and sending me down to Earth.
"Home sweet home." I sighed as I looked around the very small woods area. I made my way toward the sound of running water. Once I got out of the wood, I noticed the smoke coming from the SHIELD headquarters not far away, the building looking like it had just been through an explosion.
"What the hell happened while I was away?"
~~
I found him.I mean, it wasn't hard considering Heimdall told me he was in the Smithsonian, and it was easy to put together where he was from there.
I slowly walked up to the man, noticing how his shoulders tensed just the smallest amount, unnoticeable to anyone who wouldn't know to look.
"Lots of people are here," I noted out loud, looking straight ahead of me at the old photo of Sargent Barnes.
"Yep." Winter's deep, quiet voice mumbled.
"All these people, they know this guy here as Sargent James "Bucky" Barnes, best friend of Captain America and Agent Olivia Stark, but I'll tell you a secret." I quietly spoke, making it so Winter was the only one able to hear me.
Out of the corner of my eye, I watched as his head moved slightly to pay more attention to me, curious as to what I was going to say.
"A long time ago, I knew him as Winter. He was my friend."
Winter's eyes quickly shot to me, his head moving so fast that his shoulder-length hair slapped his face.
"Vix?"
I finally looked up at him, watching the confusion play across his face as he studied me.
"Hey, Winter." I sadly smiled.
"What are you doing here? Where have you been?" He asked, taking my arm and bringing me towards the wall and away from any prying eyes.
"Well, SHIELD found me when they raided one of the bases, took me in, and became my family. Then I got reunited with some people from my past before Hydra, the two helping me regain my memories. I found out I was married-"
"You were married?!"
"Yes, now don't interrupt." I scolded, making the caped man playfully glare at me.
