"So... Princess, huh?"

Clint and I had been in the barn for about half an hour, not really saying anything to the other while we worked on the always-broken tractor.

"Um, yeah, I guess so."

"So, how did that happen?"

"I saved Thor's life when they came to earth a long time ago. The queen wanted to thank me somehow, so she helped teach me more magic, and I learned beside Loki. The two of us eventually became friends, and I guess things just went from there." I grunted a bit as I tightened a particularly large screw.

"So you're originally from earth? You're not like... them..?"

"Well, Loki told me I was a Midgardian witch, and apparently we live up to 500 years old... so... not exactly like an Asgardian which lives up to 5,000, but similar." I shrugged, not seeing the way Clint's eyes practically popped out of his head.

"500?! How old does that make you then?"

"Um, I think Thor told me somewhere around 330."

"Holy shit, Alex," Clint whispered.

The two of us stayed in silence again, me continuing to work on the tractor's engine while Clint just seemed to be staring at me.

"How much did you talk to Loki about it? Or even Thor. I'm sure he could answer a bunch of questions without lying."

"I didn't talk to either of them about it, really. Loki told me that little bit of the story and I just... I kinda freaked out and ran. I left Asgard to come here soon after." I set the wrench down, moving to look at the man across from me.

"When you go back, make Thor talk to you about it first. I trust him more than I trust that little snake."

"Hey, we talked about this. Loki can be trusted." I glared at him.

"He mind-controlled me to help kill and take over New York!"

"Yeah, well join the club."

Clint sighed, his gaze softening. "Alex, you know I'm never going to trust him. Not after what he did to me."

"Yeah, I know."

I stayed the next couple of days with Clint and Laura, helping around the house with the kids and different chores. Clint also had a new home project he wanted to do with a new porch swing that I helped out with.

"You sure you have to go?" Lila whined, her arms in a death lock around my neck.

"Yeah, sweetheart, I gotta. Some people have been waiting patiently for me. I can't leave them waiting for much longer."

"But I'll miss you." She pouted, giving me these large puppy dog eyes.

"And I'll miss you too, but your Auntie Nat is gonna be here for a visit, so you'll get to see her very soon!"

"Alright." She relented. I kissed her head, placing her down gently on the ground and watching as she walked over to her mother.

"Cooper." I held my arms out, watching as he slowly walked over to me and gave me a hug.

"You be good for you mom. Feel free to give your dad hell. We both know he can handle it." I smirked as I whispered to the boy, glancing over at Clint who had a scared look on his face.

"You got it, Aunt Alex." Cooper chuckled, pulling away from me.

"Atta boy."

"You all ready?" Clint asked me, my duffle bag in his hand.

"Yeah, I think so." I nodded, walking over to him and Laura and giving both of them a hug. "I'll miss you both. Thank's for letting me pop up announced."

"You're welcome anytime, Alex. That's why we have two guest rooms." Laura said, hugging me tightly.

"Yeah, you always have a place here." Clint agreed, hugging me equally tight as his wife.
