"Welcome home, my love," Loki said soon as I entered our room.
"Hi, my trickster." I smiled, throwing my bag on the couch and walking up to my husband, almost collapsing into his arms.
"What's wrong? Did something happen?" He immediately asked.
"Just got into a fight with Clint. I'll be okay." I told him, moving my arms to wrap around his neck.
"Well, I hope the surprise I have for you will help get your mind off of it, then." He smirked.
"Surprise?" I asked, eyes going wide. "Lokes, you didn't have to do that."
"Of course, I did, love. Now, you're going to have to trust me on this, but I need to blindfold you for a moment." He summoned a thick green ribbon, holding it up for me to see.
"What are you up to, silly trickster?" I smirked, turning around so he could tie it around my eyes.
"Now if I told you, that would ruin the surprise." He chuckled, taking his hands in mine when he was done. "Hold onto me. We have to teleport to get there."
I followed his instructions, holding on tight to his arm. I could feel his magic flowing through me, the hard floor beneath my feet turning soft, letting me know we were now outside. Loki carefully led me through what I could only assume to be a woods area, the sound of sticks snapping beneath our feet.
"You ready, darling?"
"As I'll ever be," I smirked, feeling Loki's hands come underneath the ribbon around my eyes so he could take it off.
When I opened my eyes, I saw a familiar ledge, the beautiful view of Asgard in the background, and a picnic laying close to the edge.
"Loki, what..."
"I don't know if you remember this spot. You used to love it, way back when. You actually-"
"Proposed to you here. Right where the picnic is, Asgard's sunset was in the background. How could I forget." I smiled, tears springing in my eyes.
"It's one of my favorite memories. The way you looked so nervous the entire time." He teased. "I almost thought you were ending our courtship."
"I could never," I smirked, taking his hand and leading him to the blanket set out. "This is lovely, darling, thank you." I leaned in, giving him a quick kiss.
"Oh, I'm not done yet, love." He smirked, taking both hands in mine.
"Alexandra,"
"Oh, gods,"
"Hush, dear, let me speak." He lightly scolded, a glint in his beautiful green eyes. "We have been through a lot, in these last couple hundred years. For some reason, though, you have always decided to come back to me.
"When you forgot who you were, you stayed by me-"
"Because it was my job." I teased.
"Yes, well, you could have left me in my cell to rot, if you so wished." He rolled his eyes. "You came back to me after the truth of our past was revealed, and you have stayed by my side ever since. So, since you did it the first time, I decided it was my turn."
Loki let go of one of my hands, summoning a small box as he went down on one knee. He slowly opened the box to reveal a beautiful ring. The tear shape green gem sat beautifully in the gold band, with two little diamonds on either side.
