- Khhhmmm.
Brent had been standing in the doorway for a full minute now, just waiting for them to notice him, but neither of them did – they only saw each other.
He frowned a little. He had just added a new finding to his mental list of notes. Both men were extraordinary when apart, but when together – they were weak. They acted silly. This was not good.
- Oh, good morning, boy! Did you sleep well? – Lan Xichen chirped, merrily, doing his best to reach his cup of coffee from the table without stirring too much and without letting go of his lover at all.
- Thank you, sir. All is fine. I took the liberty of checking on the car. It is in top shape, but still some small details need attention. – he said seriously.
- Wow. So diligent! I like it! – Lan Huan grinned now.
Jiang Cheng, on the other hand, was unimpressed.
He didn't like that man. He couldn't relax and trust him, just like his lover did, far too quickly for his taste. It was one thing he hated in Lan Huan – he was far too gullible at times. It seemed that the fact of Katherine Yang recommending this gorilla had been quite sufficient for him.
There was no comment, so he said coldly:
- Would you have breakfast with us? Or will you skip it, just like dinner last night?
- I am fine, sir. I generally don't eat dinner. But breakfast is---
- Nice! – Lan Huan interrupted him. – Coffee? Stella will be here any second now! I bet she has prepared something tasty for breakfast!
Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes, and Brent didn't miss that. So, the cheeky bartender did not like the maid? He wondered whether he himself was going to like her.
- I rarely partake in coffee drinking, but... I'll grab a cup of coffee from the kitchen, sir. I'm not so hungry. – he said calmly.
- Liar! – Lan Huan laughed and yelled after his back disappeared into the kitchen.
But now he could focus on his lover again, and noticed a playful fire inside the honey eyes.
- Wanyin? – he mumbled, unsure whether this was a good sign, or rather a bad one.
- Huan... - he purred now, sitting better in his lap. – That new car... mmmm... it was... so comfortable... last night... I... I have some... ideas... Mmmm...
- Baby...
Brent came back to the spacious living room, and – finding them kissing again – he wanted to divert his eyes again, but a couple of things attracted his attention now, and his brain got into working mode immediately.
Mister Lan was pulling at his fiancé's shirt, pulling it up, baring more and more skin in the process, but this was not important. What was important was that now he noticed 3 things: the silver bracelet on Mister Jiang's ankle, the scar on his waist, and the small tattoo on his wrist.
