Lan Xichen woke up rather early – they didn't have to hurry today, with Wanyin's afternoon shift. He looked at his sleeping lover and smiled. He had half the mind to wake him up and make love to him again, too sure that Jiang Wanyin wouldn't mind it, not at all.
But then the look on the pretty face was so peaceful that his heart hurt. No, he did not dare wake him up, he just reached out and caressed his face.
The light headache he felt could mean two things – he was either too tired, or too hungry. Grinning a little, he chose to believe the latter, and just grabbed a towel, heading for the bathroom for a shower. Lately, it felt weird to be showering or taking a bath all by himself. He had gotten too used to the slim, beautiful body that always sought to press itself to him.
It was well past 7:30 when he went into the kitchen to seek for some food; he really was quite hungry. The junk food pizzas they were having fun with in these last evenings just went through his organism like water and gave him close to zero energy. So he needed a hearty breakfast.
- Good morning.
- Ah! San San! Good morning! Did I wake you up? – he cheered.
He had tried to be careful with not making too much noise, but perhaps he had failed. After all, he was used to living on his own, mostly, and caring so much for another person, or persons, was a new skill he had to be teaching himself on the go.
- Nooo... - the boy mumbled, sleepy and grumpy. – I have to be at work in an hour... So... coffee... Ugh...
- Oh... I see, I see!
Lan Xichen's last words were murmured with some kind of softness, and he felt uncomfortable, although, as a matter of fact, he hadn't gotten too much sleep last night.
- Yes, I see. – Lan Huan nodded thoughtfully.
Without a care, he let the cook make the morning jug of coffee, wondering whether he would want to talk to him, or would be sulking – because last night they had...
- Ummm, say, San San... I am afraid we were far too noisy last night. I hope you are not mad. – he grinned now, enjoying his cup of strong coffee; obviously their tastes about the aromatic drink coincided.
- Nooo... - the boy blushed. – No, it's OK. A-Cheng misses you... a lot... when you are not together, so... I guess... it makes sense. – he mumbled, hiding behind his own mug.
- I live too far from here... It's just... Hmmm. Actually, I am seriously thinking of buying a flat, you know. Somewhere in the city. Which is funny, because I bought my house outside of the city precisely because I hated it. The city - not the house! – he laughed a little.
For a moment there, San Ji's eyes glowed – he really craved to see that marvelous house close up!
- I see. – he said solemnly. – I am sure A-Cheng will approve. He has been dreaming of his own house and car for a long time now. It's... I guess this is why he is working so hard. Saving up, you know. Although now... I don't understand why you... You two... because you... - he stuttered now, blushing terribly.
