The festival began

Warning/ author note; the festival is really not that important to this book so author is just going to rush through this whole arc, I apologize for the lack of content in this.

Y/n pov:

I've kept an eye on Aether's actions in Sumeru these past couple of days. He's been in Port Ormos as well as the city, and messing around in the forest.
He's met Dunyarzad, Dehya, Tighnari, Nilou and Alhaitham. Probably many others as well, these are simply my birds observations.

I don't care much for what he's been doing, I'm simply waiting for the moment of the festival.
Although I assume he's looking for a way to meet the Lesser lord Kusanali, he doesn't know I'm already planning to make that happen.

And now... it's the lesser lords Kusanali's birthday. The day of the festival is now.

I stood together with Dunyarzad as we made small talk, waiting for a certain person to show up.

"Good morning Dunyarzad! We must've overslept a little- Hey! It's Y/n!!"

Both me and Dunyarzad turned our heads at the high pitched voice. And there they were Aether and Paimon.
I gave them both a smile and waved to them.

"Hello!" I said excitedly.

Aether walked up to us and smiled. "It's good to see you again after so long!" He said.
I nodded, "Yes, I had no idea you two were the ones Dunyarzad invited with us! What a coincidence!" I spoke back happily.

"How long have you been here??" Paimon asked, indicating my time spent in Sumeru.
"Hmm... about three months maybe? I've been having a great time, I'm so glad you two are here as well now." I said with a smile and happy posture.

"It seems everybody knows each other!" Dunyarzad said with a smile as well, liking the happy atmosphere.

Then she sighed, "Today is finally here, I must cherish every moment as if it were gold!" She said.

"You're right, then, shall we?" I asked, offering my arm to her. She chuckled and held my arm in a lady-like manner.

"Let's start with the stalls over there!" She pointed towards the stalls. All of us agreed and we started walking towards them. We made small talk down the small path.

We started talking about food as we approached the first stall. Paimon was disappointed about all the vegetables the man sold.

"Let's check out some other stalls then." Paimon said quickly, bringing us away from this one.
Me and Aether shared a knowing look as she clearly wasn't hungry anymore.

At the next stall, this one guy was talking on about fate and wisdom. After Aether tried one of his activities, it seems the guy was looking up the answer in a book. I sighed as I realized this guy was an amateur at his job.

He went on about the moon representing illusions and lies.

I dragged them away from the stall before my mind exploded with all the theoretical stuff he spoke about.
