Y/n pov:

I simply sat on the balcony floor and looked out at Sumeru. This land felt so empty now. It didn't have any meaning to me. I had no idea what to do.

At times like this, I wished so dearly I wasn't immortal. I hoped I cold let my years pass now and that would be it. But no, I was stuck here.

Stuck in a place that didn't seem as happy or amazing anymore. Kunikuzushi managed to leave this world. And he didn't seem to hesitate. Perhaps leaving was more important than staying here to survive this hell with me.

I couldn't blame him. I could never blame him.

I didn't realize I was crying until I felt the tears drop down on my hands.

Then I heard the sanctuary door open behind me, and Aether and Paimon walked out.

"Y/n... are you okay?" Paimon asked carefully.

I didn't know if I should answer or not. Something inside me wanted to snap at Paimon like a bitch. But they hadn't necessarily done anything wrong.

But no matter what, I was tired of pity. I understood now why it felt so demotivating. "I'm alright." I lied. "Just a lot to take in. I'll manage." I said and stood up.

I swiped a hand over my eyes, pretending to fix my hair, but actually removing tears from my face.

I turned to them with the heaviest smile I've ever worn. "What were you two planning on doing then?" I asked them, lifting the attention away from me.

"We were planning on going to the Grand Bazar and have something to eat. To lift our spirits a little. It would be great if you came along." Aether replied to me.

I didn't feel in the mood to eat, but decided to accept their offer. "Alright." I nodded simply.

Aether and Paimon gave me a smile and started walking down. After a few heavy breaths, I followed them.

"It must be though being the only two that remembers all that. But Paimon's always here for both of you to cheer you up!" Paimon commented.

We stepped into the Grand Bazar.
"We're here~ What should we eat first?" Paimon asked.

"Let's sit down before we decided that." Aether said and moved towards a table, Paimon trailing behind him.

With me, I was still processing everything. I simply trailed after the two like a moth. I had no idea what else to do.

As I thought, my mind wandered back to what I thought about earlier. How the fate of Teyvat was unchanging. If there truly was a trace of Kunikuzushi somewhere, I wanted to find it. At least see it.

Aether seemed to be thinking a bit as well. I wondered if we thought of the same thing. His eyes then lit up as if he had reached a point in his mind.

Then he stood up. "Why'd you jump up all of a sudden?" Paimon asked. Confused, I stood up too.

He must've realized by now. Something didn't make sense, according to the laws of Teyvat.
