Epilogue - Saved

Y/n pov:

I hadn't gotten over what happened at the eremite party. I hated to admit it, but the girl got under my skin.

Not enough for me to actually do something bad about it, but enough to tick me off.

Though... Kunikuzushi's been quite unbothered by what happened. I've heard how other people would've wanted for their significant other to reassure them about such a situation.

But I liked that Kuni was so unbothered, it really told me about how much he simply didn't care about Dalia and her advances.

"What are you thinking so much about?"

I smile at the sound of his voice and lean closer to him. "Just you."

The sound of the grass dancing in the slight breeze was comforting. I laid my head in the crook of his neck, his arms around me as we laid in the field.

The sun was about to come up in the distance. I face Kunikuzushi's smile in the corner of my eye.
I sat up and leaned my face down upon his, having his purple eyes staring up at me.

I saw how his eyes look across my face, but my own eyes were also scanning his face all over.

I sighed. "You're so-"
"Pretty?" He cut me off, "You say it so often you know." He says with a smile.

"You'll just have to believe me." I say, I was about to continue, but he brought his fingers to my lips, stopping me.

"Let me tell you how beautiful you are then." He said and sat up as well. He raised his hands and held my face.

"Your eyes. I love their color so much. I could get lost in them forever if you allowed me to." He said and kissed me on the bridge of my nose, between my eyes.

Then one of his hands raised and ran through my hair softly. "Your hair, if you let me, I'd run my fingers through it for hours, maybe days."

I let out a short breathy laugh, stunned. His eyes then fell to my lips. "I love your lips. I could kiss and bite them forever and never let go if you'd let me." He said.

I opened my mouth to speak, "Kuni-" he cut me clean off my kissing me.

"So very beautiful. Inside and out." Kunikuzushi said, kissing me again.

"Y/n, do you believe in true love and that kind of thing?" Cilly asked from in front of me.

My hands were messing with her hair, braiding her beautiful locks tightly.

I smile at her question. "I do." I replied.

She hummed. "Really? Could you explain to me?" She asked, slightly confused.

I thought for a moment, wondering how to answer that question. But my mind wandered all over what happened the past years, everything I've been through, learned and seen in Teyvat.

The answer was right there.

I took a breath before answering, letting go of her hair.
