3rd pov:

Kunikuzushi stood outside her room door, leaning his head on the wood. He sighed.

On the other side of the door, Y/n sat in their bed. Tears fell down her face. She held her arms around herself, pretending they were a certain someone.

Y/n opened her eyes, now on the door. Her eyes fell on the shadow in the middle of the light under the door.

Kunikuzushi slid his back down the door, sitting on the floor. It was the closest he could get to her at this moment.

Y/n pov:

I laid in the bed, scrunching up the covers and holding them in my arms. It felt as if I was hugging someone, it was what I needed.

I wanted the man outside my door to hold me again, like he always did. But I was angry and sad. I didn't know what to think or feel.

I stirred in the bed for a few minutes, staring at the sky outside my window.

Kunikuzushi pov:

I could hear Y/n stir around in her bed inside. She did that a lot when she couldn't sleep easily. Obviously she wouldn't be able to sleep now. She was mad at me.

Then I heard the window of her room open, most likely to let in some fresh air after she had cried.

But after the window was open, I heard nothing. No stirring, no walking.

I furrowed my eyebrows, confused.

Then I felt air under the door crack. How wide did she open the window?

"Y/n?" I called, standing up.

There was no answer. I tried to convince myself it was because she didn't want to speak to me.
But I didn't hear any reaction, no stirring in the bed or anything.

I sighed. "Y/n, I need to talk to you. I need you to open the door." I said.

Again, no answer. Concern raised inside myself. "At least yell something back. You're still there right? Are you okay?" I said, listening intently for an answer.

"Say something. You're worrying me!" I spoke again, this time my fist clenched around the handle of the door.

Last chance.

The silence from the other side of the door raised. The house felt empty. "Say something or I'll let myself in." I spoke, warning her.

She didn't answer. My hand clenched around the handle again, I turned it. The door didn't open due to it being locked, which didn't really do anything. I gave it a light shove, and the lock broke, letting the door glide open.

I peered inside, cautiously. No one. The window was wide open.

Y/n pov:

I didn't realize how much energy I had stored up inside until now. I was running as if it was the only thing I was made to do. Had I always been able to run this fast?
