Chapter 52 - Cleansing

To be honest, Wei Ying didn't want to deal with Jiang Cheng being awake while trying to cleanse him. So when he and Wangji woke at their five in the morning internal clock, they snuck into Jiang Cheng's room. He was sound asleep. Wei Ying put an immobilization talisman on him and carefully placed a needle in the very top of his head. It was to keep him from waking. That was went they started to cleanse him.

Wei Ying knew immediately that this wasn't an ordinary possession. Before his nirvana he remembered about Guiwang (ghost King). He wants Wei Ying to suffer, his powers, and his family to be dead. That was when he had to dig deep into his internal spiritual energy and use his Phoenix powers to help him. Wei Ying's eyes started to glow gold, and his tail feathers burst out from his back. He transformed into his Phoenix. A couple drops of his blood and his tears and Guiwang's minion disappeared from Jiang Cheng's body.

Wangji just stood there stunned by the beauty of Wei Ying's phoenix form. He soon turned back to his human form and removed the talisman and needle from Jiang Cheng. They then crept out of the room and back to their own.

"There you are," Lan Xichen said, "do you have any idea how worried I have been?"

"Xichen-Ge, you were not awake when we stepped out. We noticed Jiang Cheng was possessed yesterday and we had to help him," Wei Ying said, "and we are very powerful gods. We are safe. I will do everything in my power to protect Lan Zhan if that is what you are worried about. Just know if anything happens to me, like if I die, I will just be reborn. My memory will be gone until I reach eighteen years of age but I will always return to this form again."

Lan Xichen let out a sigh, "did you see who possessed him?"

"That is where things get a bit complicated," Wei Ying said, "there is this guy we call Guiwang, or ghost king. He has been a threat to my family for centuries. He hasn't had much success of course. It seems though, he is getting smart and possessing people within the cultivation world. They are people who are vengeful and have something to gain from harming me. So we have to be careful. Lan Zhan, as a dragon, can sense the ghost energy too. As a phoenix, I have a way to save them."

"What I saw, can't you store some of the blood and tears?" Wangji asked.

Wei Ying shook his head, "it has to be fresh and from my phoenix form. I am in my most protected state in my Phoenix form. That feather I had you keep, it will keep you protected from projectiles...which is why Wen Chao went flying when he tried to punch me back in Cloud Recesses long ago."

Wangji snorted out a chuckle, "I remember that," he said.

Lan Xichen couldn't help but chuckle, "it was very amusing," he said.

"I'm glad you have your memories back," Wangji said, "I like learning about you."

Wei Ying blushed and let out a sigh, "I'm happy to be able to help teach you something now," he said. Wangji placed a kiss on Wei Ying's cheek, "A'Zhan, no kisses in front of your brother."

"I've kissed you like this before in front of him," Wangji said.

"It's a bit different these days. I'm not that cute little boy anymore, but I am your fiancée," Wei Ying said.

"Still the same person to me," Wangji said pulling him into a hug and kissed his cheek again.

Wei Ying playfully tried to get out of his hold, laughing. Wangji smiled as he started to tickle him, "A'Zhan!!! Cheater!" Wuxian said.

Wangji stopped tickling him and hugging him tight, "Mnn, love Wei Ying."

"I love you too," Wei Ying said.

Later on that day, during the next meeting time, Jiang Cheng was actually less agitated. He also seemed to not have paid any mind to Wei Ying or Wangji. He just sat through the meeting. After the meeting, however, Jiang Cheng seemed to be wanting to approach them. Wei Ying decided to be the better person and approach him.

"Can I help you?" Wei Ying asked.

"I...just wanted to ask you how you have been. Last I saw you was finding out what my parents had done to you," Jiang Cheng said.

"You...don't want revenge? You wanted me dead not long ago," Wei Ying said.

"I did?" Jiang Cheng asked.

"I think whoever has been possessing his body was the reason he was after you," Wangji said.

"Possessing?" Jiang Cheng asked, "what are you going on about?"

"You don't have to worry anymore. Focus on yourself and getting your sect back in order," Wei Ying said kindly, "I can visit you if you like."

"Ugh, sure," Jiang Cheng said and then left them.

"So, now we have to wonder who else may be affected by this Guiwang," Wangji said.

"It will take time to know, I will sent a message to my parents about this information so that they are aware," Wei Ying said, "now come with me."

Wei Ying pulled Wangji back to their room and pushed him against the wall. Lan Wangji smirked as he knew what he wanted. He placed his hands on Wei Ying's waist and turned them quickly, pinning him to the wall and kissed him. The kiss was lustful and filled with fire. Wei Ying wrapped his arms around Wangji's neck as he could feel himself getting weak. It was to help him keep him stable. Wangji smirked under the kiss and lifted Wei Ying off the ground. He then dropped on the bed, gently landing on Wei Ying.

Wei Ying giggled as he wrapped his arms and legs around him. The two were creating a loving friction between them. Wei Ying really could not wait to get married to this man. He loved him so much and he knows that he always will. Plus once they marry, he will also be able to protect him from any harm a lot easier.
