Lan Xichen was making his rounds right after breakfast. He said he would meet up with Wangji at the archery grounds when he is done. As he was making his rounds, he heard there was some issues at the front gate. Lan Xichen went to go check it out. When he arrived Jiang Wanyin was there, and he was fuming.

"Sect Leader Jiang, what brings you here?" Xichen asked.

"I hear you are hiding that delinquent idiot Wei Wuxian from the world," Jiang Wanyin said fidgeting with the Zidian ring on his finger, "I came to warn you. I catch him alone, he is in for a terrible fate with me."

"Do you want to deal with Tian Jun again? He is Wei Wuxian's grandfather and the king of the realms," Xichen threatened back.

"Using him as a defense will only help you so far," Jiang Wanyin said, "I'm just warning you."

"I don't want you here or anywhere near Gusu. Next time I see you, I will not hesitate to fight back," Xichen said, "now leave."

"Very well, I just wanted to give you a warning," Jiang Wanyin said.

"I don't know why you insist on blaming Wei Wuxian when it was your mother who made the mistake of hurting him. She knew what he was and she abused him anyway. She suffered the consequences," Lan Xichen told him.

"Wei Wuxian is a nuisance and he will be the one to bring us all into a calamity. He needs to die, and he will," Jiang Wanyin said before he turned and walked away.

Lan Xichen was furious. He didn't know why Jiang Wanyin was so adamant about going after Wei Wuxian. Lan Xichen for some reason, wanted to see his little Didi. He loved Wei Wuxian like he was his little brother. So he made his way back to the Archery grounds. Lan Wangji was a bit surprised and confused when Lan Xichen interrupted their lessons by pulling Wei Ying into a heartwarming hug.

"GeGe, what is wrong?" Wei Ying asked.

"I just wanted to hug my little A'Ying," Xichen told him.

"A'Zhan said I have warm hugs," Wei Ying said hugging him back.

"That you do, A'Zhan is never wrong about you," Xichen said. He just knelt there hugging Wei Ying for a good few minutes. Just to calm his mind down. Lan Wangji, at first, was a bit upset about his brother interfering, but when he saw tears falling down his brother's eyes, Wangji grew concerned.

"A'Ying, can you focus on your archery for a moment while I speak with GeGe?" Wangji asked.

"Okay," Wei Ying said, "are you leaving me alone?"

"No, just stepping aside," Wangji answered.

"Okay," Wei Ying said as he picked up his bow and started training again.

"What happened?" Wangji asked as he stepped aside with his brother.

"I know you are already doing good on this, but I do not want Wei Ying left alone, ever. Especially if he goes out of the walls of Cloud Recesses. I would prefer you be by his side as much as possible..." Xichen told Wangji, "Jiang Wanyin was at the gate just now, made serious threats."

"I would not leave him alone wherever we go," Wangji said, "what did he say?"

"He would do anything to kill him if he is found left alone. He has little concern about Tian Jun coming after him," Xichen said.

"Next time we see someone from the celestial realm, we will tell them of Jiang Wanyin's threats," Wangji said.

Xichen nodded. He was about to say something when he heard Wei Ying yell happily, "I got it! I hit the bullseye!" Wei Ying seemed to overjoyed to hit the target properly.

They watched as Wei Ying drew another arrow and let it fly. Just a shot, he hit the bullseye a second time, just inches from the first arrow. Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen smiled at how fast Wei Ying was learning.

"I'm beginning to wonder, he was a prodigy before his nirvana happened, but now that he has to relearn everything, I wonder if he will still be that way?" Xichen questioned out loud as he and Wangji went back to join Wei Ying.

"It would not surprise me, looking over his exam he took, he did not miss a single question. Everything he said and wrote was correct...now I just have to help him get over some fears of his," Wangji explained.

"Fire?" Xichen asked.

Wangji nodded, "if I could learn about how to train him with his fire cultivation, it may ease his fears. I'm not a fire cultivator though, so I do not know how to help train him."

"I wonder if we should write to his parents to see if there is a tutor we could find?" Xichen asked.

"Maybe, would you be willing to speak with Shufu? You are meeting with him soon right?" Wangji asked.

"I can bring it up to him," Xichen said, "I will go to him now. He should know of what happened earlier. Maybe set up extra security for a bit."

"Until Wei Ying is trained enough to defend himself, I don't think we can take any unnecessary risks," Wangji said.

"I agree, I will leave you two here then, you are doing good work A'Ying," Xichen said.

"Thank you GeGe, are you feeling better?" Wei Ying asked.

"Can I have one more hug before I leave? I would feel so much better," Xichen said.

Wei Ying smiled at him and hugged Xichen again, "I love giving you and A'Zhan hugs."

"You are a sweetheart, A'Ying," Xichen said as he stood up and rubbed his head.

"Ahh! Don't do that," Wei Ying said, "my hair will look messy and I would break a rule."

"My bad," Xichen teased as he rubbed his head again.

"No!" Wei Ying laughed as he stepped back.

Xichen and Wangji laughed as Wei Ying was pouting and fixing his hair, taking out his ribbon and redoing his ponytail. Xichen messed it up one more time before he walked off.

"GeGe!" Wei Ying said pouting more.

Wangji chuckled and knelt down, "what me to fix it?" He asked.

"Will you?" Wei Ying said handing him the ribbon. Wangji nodded and fixed up Wei Ying's hair. Once his hair was done, Wei Ying went back to his training.
