Chapter 6 - Sky Kingdom

"Tian Jun," Wei Changze greeted, "you asked for me?"

"Oh please, you are my son. You don't need to be so formal with me, especially when we are alone," Tian Jun told him.

"Yes Fùqīn," Wei Changze nodded.

"Tell me, have you been watching out for my grandson? How is he?" Tian Jun asked.

"It seems that the Wen Sect, Wen Ruohan might know something about him. A girl by the name of Wen Qing was saying that his excellency may know of Wei Ying's background. He also burst into a fit of rage afterwards and gained his fire cultivation. His entire body burst into golden flames, in front of Lan Xichen and his brother Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji didn't react to the heat off of Wei Ying either," Wei Changze explained.

"Oh?" Tian Jun wondered, "I want a couple people secretly placed in the Wen Sect to keep an eye on them. I also want someone to be close by for Wei Ying, in case he is in danger. I trust Annchi would do it just fine."

"Are you sure you want Annchi? She's a bit shameless," Wei Changze asked.

"I am, because she is loyal and will not question him or anything. She will be there to protect him at all costs. I also want someone to speak with the keeper of fates for the cultivation realm. I want information on this, Lan Wangji. If he is my grandson's soulmate, he too will gain godhood when Wei Ying returns to his supremacy. I want to know if we can trust the Lan," Tian Jun demanded.

"The Lan seems promising. His cultivation is pure and strong but he is too bound to his sect's rules and principles. He doesn't seem to know what to think about Wei Ying," Wei Changze informed.

"That's why I want to look into his background more," Tian Jun told him.

"Should I inform Cangse?" Wei Changze asked, "She has been watching Wei Ying since he was brought to the Jiang's. She wants to skewer Yu Ziyuan for whipping Wei Ying with Zidian so much."

"Only tell her the important things. No need to worry her anymore than she already is. Also, leave Yu Ziyuan to the gods of punishment or Wei Ying when he gets his supremacy back," Tian Jun told him.

"Why hide it from her completely? She will find out on her own anyway," Wei Changze told him, "she tends to find things out when we least expect it."

"If you want to tell her, then tell her," Tian Jun told him, "now, I have to go to a council meeting. Go speak with Annchi."

"Yes Fùqīn," Wei Changze said with a bow and left.

Wei Changze made his way across Celestial Kingdom over to the warrior training grounds. There, many gods, goddesses, and angels train to fight. There are angels, seraphs, and Valkyries. The Valkyrie are the main warriors of the angels and are fantastic fighters. They fight to serve the gods and protect anyone at any time when needed. The head of the Valkyries was named Annchi. Annchi has a fun and free spirited personality, she is the toughest fighter within her group.

"Hello Your Grace," Annchi greeted, throwing a god to the ground.

"A god with incredible strength and combat skills still can't take down the head Annchi," Wei Changze stated.

"I'll train harder, Sir," the god told him and went to go train elsewhere.

"Some of these younger gods have great strength but they don't know how to use it," Annchi stated turning to Wei Changze, "What can I do for you?"

"I have a request from Tian Jun. He wants you to keep a close watch on Wei Wuxian. He is starting to gain his abilities and there are people who may turn against him if he isn't careful. Don't let him know who sent you if he spots you," Wei Changze said and handed her a clarity bell from the Jiang Sect, "this is enchanted to stay in touch with me. Speak with Sect Leader Jiang about your assignment. His wife doesn't know his origins, but he does. Only speak to him. Tell him this phrase, 'Feathers of snow and Flames of gold'."

"Very well, is it just me?" Annchi asked.

"You can take Yīnuò (Means one promise), your apprentice, with you. She could learn a thing or two," Wei Changze told her.

"Alright, I'll see to it," Annchi said and walked off.

Annchi made her way to the Angelic Palace of the Celestial Kingdom. There she went to the gardens where she knew Yīnuò would be. Yīnuò was a young angel who was just taken in by Annchi as an apprentice or disciple if you will. Yīnuò was actually Wei Changze's little sister, and Tian Jun's youngest daughter. She had a very gentle and kind demeanor. Much different compared to Annchi, but the two match well together. They have been Master and Apprentice for centuries. The two have even grown to care for each other like sisters or more than sisters.

In the Celestial Realm it was not uncommon to see lovers of the same gender. The Ancient God and King of Heaven, Tian Jun, made sure of that. Tian Jun doesn't mind his childrens' love lives. As long as they are happy and tend to do justice and serve the greater good, he was more than okay with it. The problem was, Annchi liked Yīnuò like a lover and Yīnuò liked Annchi like a lover, but neither of them knew that of each other. They also feared that if one were to come clean, it would ruin things between the great companionship that they built over the centuries.

Of course, when Annchi found Yīnuò, she found her at the place where Lily of the Valley was located. It was a heavenly flower that Yīnuò loved very much.

"Typical for a young girl to be seen here," Annchi said approaching her.

"I'm not a young girl!" Yīnuò argued.

"Well, anyone fifty-thousand and younger is considered young," Annchi teased.

"I'm sixty-thousand, so I'm not young!" Yīnuò argued again.

"Alright, alright, get what you need, you and I have been given an assignment. We leave shortly. Go speak with your father if you want before we go," Annchi told her.

"Where?" Yīnuò asked.

"We are to keep watch on Wei Wuxian. He has a couple years until he turns eighteen in the cultivation realm before he gains his true form again. People are suspicious of him already and Tian Jun and his parents want someone to watch after him," Annchi explained.

"Oh, okay," Yīnuò said and stood.

"There is no telling when we come back, so get what you need," Annchi repeated.

"Are you going to speak with your mother?" Yīnuò asked.

"No, she is busy," Annchi told her, "we leave shortly, meet me at the entrance gate in an hour."

Before Yīnuò could say anything more, Annchi walked away fairly quickly. Yīnuò sighed and went to gather her things before saying goodbye to her father.
