The day for the wedding has arrived. There was a place that both celestial beings and cultivators could meet and the wedding ceremony could take place. There was a table dressed in red with dedicated ancestral family shrines. A couple of those, included the parents of Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen.
Everyone was seated and waiting for the ceremony to start. Lan Wangji had just arrived with his family, Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren. Wangji and Wei Ying had matching red and gold robes. Embroidered with flames and the phoenix. As Wei Ying had a more slim figure, his robes were more feminine.

The ceremony has begun and Wei Ying made his way to Wangji. Wangji didn't want to take his eyes off his partner. He was so beautiful in his robes and it made Wangji's mouth water. After the three bows, and the tying of the knot, they drank tea as the Lans do not drink alcohol.
During the ceremony, it was custom to announce the two's achievements and their traits. All that they have accomplished and their merits. Lan Wangji was named Hanguang Jun for his outstanding contribution. He was already a dragon so he didn't feel like it was necessary but he did not say so. There was a banquet held so that the celestials and cultivators could mingle. Lan Wangji and newly named Lan Ying, were sitting in a place and accepting blessings and thanking others for coming.
Lan Xichen went over to them to see how they were doing, "A'Ying, Wangji, how are you doing?" He asked.
"I am fine, as I have been doing more of the talking for both of us," Lan Ying said, "Lan Zhan is allowing me to speak for him."
"Thank you for helping him feel comfortable," Xichen said, "and welcome to the family."
Lan Ying smiled, "I feel like I have been apart of the family for a long time now."
"I'm glad," Xichen said.
"Oh, I almost forgot," Lan Ying said, "while A'Zhan and I are away, my parents and grandparents are going to give you a gift as you have helped me out as well. I brought it up with them that you have helped out a lot and have yet to be rewarded for it."
"That is not necessarily though," Xichen said.
"I know, but even Shufu is getting a reward with you. Lan Zhan knows it too," Lan Ying said, "he's happy to know about it. We hope you like the surprise."
Lan Xichen couldn't help but accept it as he couldn't really reject him and his family, "Xichen-Ge, your merits too, deserve to be noticed. I know them, my family who are now yours too, knows them. I am here for you like you and your family have been there for me."
"Thank you, A'Ying," Xichen said.
"Anything for Gege," he said.
Lan Xichen couldn't help but pull him into a hug, "I love you Didi," he said, "even though you are fifty thousand years old."
Lan Ying giggled, "still consider you as gege," he said, "and I love you too...not as much a Lan Zhan though."
"That would be inappropriate if you did," Xichen teased.
"Mnn," Wangji nodded.
The banquet went on for about a couple more hours. Lan Ying and Wangji were soon then on their way to their private destination. It was secluded and they could spend the next two months together alone. The place also had this protective barrier around it so that nothing dangerous could break through.
"We will arrive in an hour or so," Lan Ying said as the two were in their dragon and phoenix forms.
"I am just going to follow you A'Ying," Wangji said, "do you think Huan-ge and Shufu will be happy with their rewards?"
"They should, but they might not be as willing to show off," Lan Ying said, "they are also your your only immediate family. Giving them the gift of being a god is something to think about."
"Do you think we can find someone for Ge?" Wangji asked.
"I remember he was googly eyes for Jilpa not long ago," Lan Ying replied, "Jilpa has a daughter of course but her husband passed away long ago. He might be good for her. Annchi seems to like him."
"He gave her advice on how to help gain more of her mother's trust," Wangji said.
"Really?" He asked, "well, there are also a couple others he could look into as well. There is Zhūhóng, remember her?"
"They got along well," Wangji nodded.
Lan Ying nodded, "we can figure something out for him," he said. The two then grew quiet for a bit. Lan Ying was starting to feel his nerves beginning to shake, "Lan Zhan?"
"Yes Lan Ying?" He asked happily.
"About tonight...what we will do?" He replied, "We won't rush to fast right?"
"We will take it slow," Wangji assured him, "We will consummate but we can take our time. If not tonight, we will another. I promise you, we do not have to rush it."
"I want to, believe me, I do," Lan Ying said, "I'm just nervous."
"I know," Wangji said, "you do not need to be. Not with me. Remember that. I have seen you as a baby, toddler, child and now adult who has become my husband. You have always been comfortable with me, and I wish it to stay that way."
"Thank you," he said.
Wangji nodded his head as they began to get closer to their destination.
"You know, it doesn't seem that long ago when I felt like I not only hated people but I was so angry and alone. Even with you and I had no reason to be," Lan Ying said when they landed and turned back into their human forms.
"It is past us now," Wangji told him.
"I know that, but thinking back, I went through two nirvanas when I was only supposed to go through one. The first time, I knew that you had concerns for me but I was so scared and confused. I was in pain and alone. I felt like I was an outcast before I got my memory back. Even the second time around, when you took me in. I felt misplaced, but you made me feel better. You made me feel like I mattered and that I belong," Lan Ying explained, "before the nirvana, I was a bit arrogant and I'd fight people all the time. I'd fight Annchi and I would get provoked so easily. When I was in your care, did I finally feel like I knew what belonging and home was...and my home is now with you. No matter if we are in Gusu or sky kingdom. You are my home, and you have a forever him in my heart too."
Lan Wangji gently held onto Lan Ying's face in his hands, "you are always my home, and my heart. No matter what. I love you more than anything in the universe. I am happy to be by your side for all eternity, my love, my xīngān, my husband."
"I know I should show you around first, but a part of me desperately wants to drag you straight to where we will sleep and let you take me right now. No matter how nervous I am...I love you so much too," Lan Ying said.
"Show me around tomorrow then, or the day after. Let's just spend the night together, really letting our love run wild," Wangji said.
Lan Ying giggled and did just that. He dragged Wangji to their house on the isolated island and by the time they stepped inside the door, they were lip locked and their desires for each other were just beginning to fully come out.
