Thunder was sounding off loudly in the distance clouded skies. Wei Ying was soon to be back in his god form, and he was all too nervous about it. Lan Wangji was actually to take the ascension with him. Tian Jun, Gaia, and Wei Ying's parents escorted Lan Wangji, Lan Xichen, and Wei Ying to the ascension platform.
"Once you two step onto the platform, you will be within a barrier so it can help suppress some of the pressure and impact of the volts. As you will be on the platform together, you will take three strikes total, each one increasing in intensity, strength, and power to accommodate the changes within your body. The volts are probably more painful than the actual power surge you will endure," Tian Jun explained, "it will be alright."
Lan Wangji was probably more nervous than anyone, as he will be a god for the first time but matching the level of strength of Wei Ying's abilities. Wei Ying was already a supreme god, which is a very high level and ranked god. Lan Wangji did silently revel at the thought and fact that Wei Ying will be the one to teach him next. He was looking forward to learning Wei Ying's original world. He was then going to find a way to get back at those who hurt his family and ambushed Cloud Recesses a few years back. Though it will be done in a certain way as he will be so strong compared to others. Lan Wangji and Wei Ying will be the new bridge that connects the celestial world and the cultivation world.
Lan Wangji and Wei Ying nodded and entered the platform. Tian Jun activated the array and summoned the holy lightning. Lan Wangji glanced over at Wei Ying. He was breathing heavily and his eyes were wide open as if he was afraid.
"A'Ying," Wangji said getting his attention. Wei Ying looked at him and Wangji gently held his face in his hands, "I'm here. We are in this together."
Wei Ying's mind soon went blank from staring at Wangji's beautiful golden eyes. He smiled up at Wangji. Lan Wangji smiled back at him and kissed him. The two did not care that others could see them like this. It was their moment and they wanted to embrace each other. The first bolt stuck down, causing energy within the two to erupt. Wangji and Wei Ying pulled from the kiss but remained in each other's arms.
The second strike, and the two started to float off the ground. Wei Ying's beautiful white wings with a gold shimmer thrust from his backside. Lan Wangji was struck by their beauty. Lan Wangji could feel something growing on his back which were beautiful white iridescent white, blue, and gold wings. Then a long tail soon after. It wasn't scaled but it had feathers.
Lan Wangji's god form, was part dragon. Which meant his ancestors had dragon's blood. Dragons, along with the phoenix, are known to be legendary creatures. Dragons in the celestial world have long gone extinct, but with Lan Wangji, they came back from there extinction. Wangji's dragon type was also a rare one of a kind type, which was the angelic dragon.

The final and third strike hit, and Lan Wangji could feel his golden core burst and a hot burn ran through his veins. Lan Wangji and Wei Ying glowed a bright white light and shot up into the air. The angelic dragon and the white phoenix were once again in the sky. It had been hundreds of thousands of years since the last dragon, and the white phoenix was a gift only Wei Ying had.
Lan Xichen was proud of his brother for making such an incredible achievement. Once this news reaches the cultivation world, the other sects would either become jealous or they will start begging for alliances. This was going to be something that Wei Ying's parents as well as Wei Ying and Wangji, will help with. To protect the clan that contributed to helping Wei Ying and his family.
Lan Wangji and Wei Ying turned back into their human (godly) forms, as they landed back on the platform. Lan Wangji was now a god, he skipped several levels and went straight to supreme god status because of his soulmate connection with Wei Ying. Lan Wangji also wondered what the other half of Wei Ying's personality was, as he was quite playful but well behaved while Wangji raised him, he didn't know the rest.
"We—" Lan Wangji began but didn't know if he should say his name or address him differently.
"A'Zhan, are you afraid of me alright?" Wei Ying asked, "I don't care for formalities, remember? You can call me Wei Ying, A'Ying and so on."
Lan Wangji smiled, "A'Ying."
Wei Ying giggled and pulled Wangji in for a kiss. Wei Ying had all of his memories back, including the memories of when he and Lan Wangji first met. With those memories in mind, Wei Ying pulled away from the kiss.
"Lan Zhan, about when we met...about all that time of us when we first met..." Wei Ying began.
"No need...we both were having a hard time. If you forgive me for my actions and my mistakes, I will forgive you," Wangji told him.
"I forgive you, do you forgive me?" Wei Ying asked.
"I do," Wangji said.
"A'Xian," Wei Ying heard the familiar sound of a friendly female voice.
"Hi, Mother," Wei Ying said, "you met Lan Zhan right?"
"I have, he is a very good man," Cangse told him, "a banquet will be held in three days to celebrate your homecoming and Lan Wangji's ascension. After that we can sit down with Gusu Lan and talk about wedding plans."
"Really?" Wei Ying asked.
"You and I don't really have to worry about age anymore," Wangji said.
"Oh yeah, look who is older now," Wei Ying teased.
"You may be older, but are you wiser?" Wangji asked.
Wei Ying blinked a couple times and looked at his mother when she started laughing. She walked away unable to stop laughing. Wei Ying's mouth dropped open, "I feel like that was unnecessary," Wei Ying said.
"Mnn," Wangji said.
"Oh," Wei Ying said, "as for Cloud Recesses, we will get justice for those who died during that ambush."
