Wei Wuxian was standing there listening to the sects greet themselves to Elder Lan and Sect Leader Lan. Wei Wuxian was indeed, very bored. He hated ceremonies and long drawn out speeches. He was just stuck there listening to people greeting themselves. Until commotion caught his attention. The Wen Sect had decided to make an entrance, a very rude and disrespectful entrance.
"Why did the Wen Sect come here if Wen Gongzi isn't attending lectures?" Sect Leader Lan questioned.
"Cause a scene probably," Wei Wuxian mumbled.
"Which dog decided to bark?" Wen Chao scowled.
"This dog!" Wei Wuxian told him.
Wen Chao turned to him, "very bold of a nobody to speak out," He said.
"I am just annoyed that you interrupted my Shidi during his introduction," Wei Wuxian told him, "you are already his excellency's son, what more could you want."
"You dead if you don't shut your mouth," Wen Chao told him sizing him up.
"I'm not scared of you, your cultivation is weak," Wei Wuxian threatened.
"You little!" Wen Chao yelled and with a fist, he went to punch Wei Wuxian on the chest.
One would expect to see Wei Wuxian go flying across the room, but instead, Wen Chao was the one who went flying. Wei Wuxian was shocked at such a sudden turn of events. He was too, expecting himself to go flying back, but why did Wen Chao go flying instead? Wei Wuxian then reached into his robes and saw the white feather. It protected him...but how and why?
Wei Wuxian hide the feather back into his robes and looked over at Sect Leader Lan who was playing his Xiao to get everyone to calm down. Anyone who was holding a sword to another ended up dropping it.
"Sect Leader Lan, my name is Wen Qing, I want to apologize on behalf of Wen Gongzi," Wen Qing introduced with a bow, "my Didi and I are the ones here for the lectures. It was unintentional of us to make a scene. I'm sorry."
"It's alright, you and your brother can go rest after a long travel. As for the rest of the Wens, I kindly ask that they leave," Sect Leader Lan told her.
"Very well," Wen Qing said and walked out with Wen Chao and the other Wens.
Sect Leader Lan then turned to Wei Wuxian, "are you alright Wei Gongzi?" He asked.
Wei Wuxian looked at the Lan a bit speechless about what just happened. He could only manage a nod to him.
"Though you helped and stood up for the others, I am sorry to say that your outburst will have to be punished. You will right the Lan Principles one hundred times. My brother with see to it that you get it done," Sect Leader Lan told him.
"Very well," Wei Wuxian said taking his punishment.
After the ceremony ended, Wei Wuxian slowly made his way to the library pavilion to fulfill his punishment. He just stared at the feather in his hand the entire way.
"Why did you help me?" Wei Wuxian questioned as he entered the library.
"Are you expecting the feather to answer your question?" Lan Wangji asked.
"Lan er Gongzi," Wei Wuxian greeted as he put the feather away, "where shall I sit?"
"Over there, everything is set up for you," Lan Wangji told him.
"Okay," Wei Wuxian said as he went over to the desk, "by the way, call me Wei Wuxian or Wei Ying. Not Wei Gongzi...I hate formalities."
"Call me Lan Wangji or Lan Zhan then," Lan Wangji told him.
"Fine, Lan Wangji," Wei Wuxian told him.
"Wei Wuxian, do your punishment," Lan Wangji told him.
"Fine," Wei Wuxian said sitting. He sighed and began writing.

Meanwhile, in the celestial realm, there was a man and a woman looking into a magic mirror. That mirror shows the current events happening at same time they happen. They witnessed the scene of Wei Wuxian and the Wen Sect have an altercation, as well as Wei Wuxian having to fill out his punishment.
"Changze are you sure he is still safe?" A woman asked.
"He is stronger then he has yet to realize," Wei Changze told the woman, "he is our son of course. So he is strong."
"Must he have to go through anymore hardships?" The woman asked.
"Cangse, it's what price he has to deal with after his nirvana. He has to go through these misfortunes. He will be back to his former self in a couple years. These misfortunes will help him grow into a better man."
"You saw that look on that Wen's face. He wants to know more about our son's power after getting thrown across the room from a failed punch," Cangse said nervously.
"He has to go through it. We cannot interfere," Wei Changze told her, "Tian Jun will also know if we have."
"He is your father after all. Why don't you speak with Tian Jun," Cangse suggested.
"About what?" Changze asked.
"Talk to him. Ask him if there is any way we can help our son! His grandson! If something happens to him, we cannot fight the darkness that is to come soon," Cangse answered fiercely.
"He will just have us sit and do nothing," Wei Changze said, "he may not be eighteen yet, but some of his powers are going to start coming out. He has to learn to control them or he will be in danger from himself."
"If he dies, we are lost!" Cangse yelled and stormed off.
Wei Changze sighed. He didn't like sitting around and doing nothing, but this was their son's path, his fate, so he had to carry it out in his own. Wei Changze knows that as long as his son has that Phoenix feather, he will be protected as much as possible. Wei Wuxian was already quite strong with his cultivation so he wasn't too worried about his strength.
Wei Changze knows that the Demon Lord his still looking for Wei Wuxian after his nirvana. Luckily, Wei Wuxian was safe in the Cultivation Realm for now.
