______________

There was a place that was connected to the Celestial Realm that was connected to death itself. A place where the terrible and the sinful go. If your soul does not belong in the world, it resides here. Those who are punished by Zhu Xian Tai end up here, that are not to be reborn they go to the deepest depths of there. A type of hell, inferno, a darkness.

There, in hell, resides Guiwang, (which means ghost king, and is his actual name), the ultimate ghost king. He hated the gods most of all. They kicked him out the moment he sinned, which was love one person, but they did not love them back. That person then stabbed them in the heart, making them feel nothing. Guiwang was just a lonely and angry person who felt betrayed and wanted to kill any person who was a god.

He had plans to go after the crown prince Wei Ying, during his nirvana. He even had some of his minions hide away in the Qishan Wen Sect, the Jin Sect, and the Yunmeng Jiang Sect. His minions were just spirits, and very vengeful spirits. They were corrupt enough to possess a body undetected. Such as one hidden in Meng Yao, one in Su She, one in Xue Yang, and one in Jiang Cheng.

Those who could possibly sense them, were actually dragons. Now that Lan Wangji has gained his god form, and is strong and powerful just like his partner, it worried Guiwang. Guiwang had to really think of new ideas. He tried to ambush Gusu, he tried to help the Wen Sect. He tried to get to Wei Ying, but he could not get past that protective and possessive soulmate of Wei Ying's. Though she was technically not supposed to be reborn, Guiwang had a way to make it happen. He reanimated Yu Ziyuan, and he had plans for her, and they were big plans.

Guiwang actually possessed the body of Yu Ziyuan and made his way to Yunmeng. Those who were not aware of Yu Ziyuan's death, were surprised by her sudden appearance again at Lotus Pier. Jiang Cheng was thrilled to have her back...though the minion that possessed him, kept his actual mind from being able to regain control. As he was just a cultivator, he was not strong enough to resist the spirit.

As for Meng Yao, Su She, and Xue Yang, they all had there own problems. Meng Yao, who once had been in contact with Lan Xichen quite often, was now barely even in contact at all. Meng Yao was confused as it seemed as if Lan Xichen had disappeared off the face of the earth. Xue Yang remained at the Wen Sect to help them out whenever possible. Su she, once kicked out of the sect, became glued to Meng Yao.

As far as the god know, they were aware of some movements but they were still blind. They were also busy being distracted by planning Wei Ying homecoming and welcoming a new member to the family. They also had a wedding to not only discuss, but to also plan. It was going to be a grand event, having a Prince consort. He and Wei Ying were to be very important. Even though they could protect themselves, they had extra guards near them.
