Wei Wuxian found himself roaming the back hills of Cloud Recesses. He was starting to wonder if he liked this place or disliked it. The location was tranquil and beautiful of course, but his time there did not seem great either. His time around the three main blood of the Lan Clan was not really welcoming. Though, Lan Qiren didn't seem to bad yet, he still didn't trust him either.

Sect Leader Lan Xichen seemed to be likable but Wei Wuxian didn't get that from him yet. Meeting Lan Wangji, he was also not welcoming at all. Wei Wuxian wondered if he was welcomed anywhere.

"Wei Gongzi," A female voice said from behind him, "may I have a word."

Wei Wuxian turned to see Wen Qing, who he saw at the greeting ceremony, "Wen Guniang, what can I do for you?"

"You have a lot of nerve standing up against Wen Chao. He isn't going to forget it either, just so you know," She said.

"I'm sorry, but Wen Guniang, why are you concerned for my safety? Worry about your own," Wei Wuxian told her and turned to leave.

"How did you rebound that punch from Wen Chao?" She asked quickly to stop Wei Wuxian from leaving.

Wei Wuxian turned to look at her, "why would I tell you how I did it?"

"I'm here for you," Wen Qing told him, "his excellency has been watching you for years. He told me to look into your life."

"I should kill you for being nosy," Wei Wuxian told her, "I'm not telling you anything."

"His excellency wants you in his sect," Wen Qing told him, "I came here to try and persuade you."

"I don't belong to your clan or sect. I don't belong to any sect, even if I am the head disciple to the Jiang Sect. I belong to no one but myself. Now screw off before I make you," Wei Wuxian told her.

"We will see if you can stay away...after all, His Excellency may have answers to who you really are," Wen Qing told him and walked away.

"I don't believe you!" Wei Wuxian yelled to her.

"Believe what you want, Wei Wuxian," Wen Qing told him and continued to walk away.

Wei Wuxian was getting more and more confused. Why is it that everyone wants to cause him such misery? He just wants yo be left alone and figure himself out alone. He was getting angry at everyone and everything around him. The angrier he got, his body grew hot.

"Wei Ying?" A familiar but soothing baritone voice called out to him.

"Lan er Gongzi," Wei Wuxian seethed, "I'd keep your distance from me. I'm not in a good mood, and I don't want to hurt you."

"That's why I came over, you seemed upset," Lan Wangji told him, "plus, guest aren't allowed back here without authorization."

"Does it look like I care?" Wei Wuxian growled as his body grew hotter. His body even started trembling out of anger.

"Please calm down," Lan Wangji coaxed, "things can be talked through without getting angry."

"Do you think I want to be angry?" Wei Wuxian asked, "do you think I want anything else to escalate?! I. can't. help. it."

Out of nowhere, Wei Wuxian's hands lit into flames. It did not burn him or hurt him. The flames were not ordinary flames either, they were gold flames not the orange, red flames. Wei Wuxian looked at his hands and was shocked. He didn't know how they just burst into flames nor did he know how to put out the flames. Lan Wangji flinched and unsheathed his sword Bichen, just for defense.

"Wangji, what happened?" Sect Leader Lan Xichen called out as he was walking by and noticed the commotion.

"I don't know, his hands just burst into flames," Lan Wangji explained, "he was angry about something. I was trying to calm him down."

"Wei Gongzi, try to focus your thoughts, and your breathing," Lan Xichen called out to him calmly.

Wei Wuxian looked at him, "why?"

Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen looked at Wei Wuxian's eyes turn from silver to a deep ocean blue as the flames engulfed his entire body. He felt a fit of rage surge through him and yelled in anger, only for that yell to let everything out and the flames extinguished. Wei Wuxian fell unconscious right after the rage subsided. The flames caused all of his robes to burn, leaving him bare in front of both of the Lans.

Lan Xichen removed his outer robe and covered Wei Wuxian with it. But he couldn't touch Wei Wuxian's skin, as it was still to hot to the touch. To Lan Wangji though, he was not hot to the touch at all. He felt at normal body temperature. Lan Xichen wondered why it didn't affect Lan Wangji at all.

"What was all that?" Lan Wangji asked picking Wei Wuxian up. Even though Lan Wangji had extraordinary arm strength, Wei Wuxian felt extremely light, "he is so light, almost underweight even."

"I don't know. I'll speak to Shufu about it now while you him to a private room of the infirmary and let him rest. Ask them to bring him fresh robes and when he wakes, have him eat something if he will take it. We will speak with him with Shufu later," Lan Xichen said.

"Alright," Lan Wangji agreed.

Lan Wangji took back pathways to the infirmary to keep Wei Wuxian out of the public eye. He didn't want others asking questions. Lan Wangji also wondered if he should run this by his siblings but he then remembered back at the library. He didn't trust a lot of people. If anything, he could speak with his ShiJie. Lan Wangji took Wei Wuxian into the private area of the infirmary and into one of the more private rooms.

"Second Master Lan?" A healer greeted entering the room with him.

"Be careful with him, to most people, his skin is scolding hot to the touch," Lan Wangji told the healer, "he is just exhausted and a bit underweight. When he wakes, bring him something nutritious and filling for him. I'll be back with fresh robes. Try taking a cold cloth to cool his body down."

"Yes, Second Master Lan," The healer said and left to gather the things needed for Wei Wuxian. Lan Wangji left to Wei Wuxian's quarters to get fresh robes.
