Rachel groaned as she once again messed up her makeup for their regionals competition she was stressed. Lucy had told her two days earlier that she'd come to the competition but the girl had been throwing up all morning so they all agreed she should stay home and that they'd record the performance for her. It made her sad that she wasn't there because they had a surprise for her that they knew she'd love and though Rachel didn't have a solo she did have two other numbers where she had solo parts and even those made her nervous she'd tried to calm herself down but only worked herself up more and more.

Santana watched the girl as she frustratingly threw her things down and left the room she could tell by  everyone's faces that they were judging the girls storm out. Quickly the Latina walked out where she found the girl slid down the wall with her hands on her face "Rachel what's wrong ? You've been fidgeting since we got in the car" Santana asked "I can't do this..." Rachel mumbled. The older girl could tell by the sound of her voice that she was crying "Why do you feel that way"  she asked the chocolate eyed girl "This...this performance has a very serious topic behind it...and we could have lost her...she would've been gone Santana...and there would be nothing we could do about it...a-and now...now we're doing this for her and I feel like it won't be enough....what if she hates it ?...she hates attention..." Rachel said as she cried. "Rach calm down I'm sure Q will be fine with this...I know her anxiety might be a little high with everyone knowing she attempting suicide but she'll also be really happy to spread awareness on the subject and knowing she could help so many other people...let people know that just because someone's life looks fabulous doesn't mean it is" Santana told her. Rachel took a deep breath as she let the Latina's words wink in she'd never thought about it that way it never occurred to her that Lucy would like it and wanna spread awareness. " I didn't think about it that way...." the brunette mumbled taking Santana's hand when the Latina offered it to her. Santana helped the girl stand up "Now come on let me do your makeup before I have to go out there" the brown eyed girl said walking back to the choir room.

Rachel sat down on her stool and relaxed as Santana began doing her makeup. They'd originally given her the solo but when they decided to dedicate their performance to Lucy she'd told them she wouldn't be able to handle the solo without breaking down so they gave the solo to Santana because the second closes person to the red head, then they had a number with herself, Mike, Mercedes, and Tina and then a group number where they all had parts to sing. "Alright all done now I'll meet you guys backstage" Santana said getting up from her seat and running out of the choir room and into the auditorium. The Latina looked around for her parents smiling when her eyes landed on her mother sitting beside her was Frannie along with Shelby and Beth she couldn't help but feel sad that her father wasn't there he wasn't ever at any of her performances due to work but she knew he was proud of her. Santana let her eyes wonder and her eyes stopped when they landed on a familiar red head sitting beside LeRory with a gasp she quickly ran backstage to her friends "Oh my gosh you guys she's here !" she screamed as she caught up to them "What do you mean whose here ?" Kurt asked just as confused as everyone else "Lucy ! S-she's here in the audience !" the Latina said as everyone's eyes went wide at the girl statement they couldn't help but feel nervous and pressured now this performance was huge and they wanted to do the young red head justice "From Lima Ohio It's the New Directions !" they heard the announcer say.

Santana walked out on stage and looked at the audience "Hello everyone my name is Santana Lopez...I'm sure you all wanna hear my team sing but first we wan you to know that we are dedicating our performance to one of our teammates who attempted to take her life a few weeks ago...we want to spread awareness...so...this performance is for you Lucy Quinn Fabray.." she said her eyes meeting Lucy's hazel eyes as she took a deep breath.
