Epilogue

"How are you, love? Pinapahirapan ka ba ng kambal natin?" He immediately asked when he entered the house. He kissed my cheeks and caressed my bumps before settling beside me .

"I'm okay, hon. How's Eina? Nasaktan ba siya?" I asked pertaining to Eireen's daughter. Pinatawag kasi kami sa school kanina pero si Luke lang ang nagpunta since I'm about to give birth anytime.

It's been a year since that abduction incident happen. Mr. Gonzalo's dead while Eireen chose to end her life instead of being with her child. Nakakaawa nga ang bata dahil lagi nitong hinahanap ang ina niya. Kaya instead of bringing her to some child welfare ay nagpasya nalang kaming mag-asawa na alagaan siya.

"What really happened to her?" Ulit na tanong ko. He sighed and play with my left hand.

"Eina's fine, hon. Medyo napaaway lang daw sa kaklase niya pero napagsabihan ko na siya. Where's my Ella?"

"She's upstairs playing with her cousin." Sagot ko. Iniwan kasi kanina ni ate Lala si Blaire dito dahil may kailangan daw siyang bisitahing site sa Davao.

He nodded at my remarks and place his head on my neck and wrap his arms around my big tummy.

"Hey, babies, kailan niyo balak lumabas? Daddy's so excited to see you." Tila masayang kausap nito sa tiyan ko. Malawak ang ngiti niya ng tumingala siya sa akin.

From the moment we found out that I am pregnant again ay sobrang saya niya talaga. He even lift me up while shouting 'yes, magiging tatay na ulit ako!' countless of time. Hindi ko naman siya masisisi if he reacted that way since he was not there when I got pregnant with Ella. I know how much he wanted to be with me but I took it away. I judged him before without hearing his side, without confronting him. Nawalan ako ng tiwala sa kanya. I jumped into conclusions and leave him with a thought that I don't love him anymore. But that's a past now. I'm just so lucky that we still ended up together despite those challenges that came along us.

I now believed that, 'if its really meant for you, it will come with you no matter what the circumstances are'.

Just wait patiently and trust HIM.

I am sleeping soundly in our bed when I inhale a very good smell. I slowly opened my eyes and was greeted by the red tulips placed beside my head. Napangiti ako at dahan-dahang inabot iyon at kinuha ang card na nasa ibabaw.

I stare at the letter and smile widely. Hindi ko maiwasang ma-touch sa sulat niya. He didn't fail to make my heart flutter everytime he shows his love for me. All his efforts never failed to amuse me at tila lalo akong nahuhulog sa kanya.  Ramdam na ramdam ko ang nag-uumapaw na pagmamahal niya sa akin at araw-araw akong nagpapasalamat na hindi siya sumuko sa amin. "Good morning, love! Breakfast in bed?" Napabaling ako sa pinto at nakita siyang nakahilig sa may pinto bitbit ang isang tray ng pagkain.

He step forward and put the tray in front of me. Hindi ko maiwasang mapanguso ng makita ang pagkaing hinanda niya. He really done so much effort this day huh.

"Did you like it, love?"

Tumango ako at agad na nilantakan ang hugis pusong pancake na hinanda niya. He was just watching me the whole time I was eating the food he prepared. Muntik pa nga akong mabulunan na ikinatawa niya kaya sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.
