Clarissa's P.O.V.

*Buzzz. Buzzz. Buzzz. Buzzz*

I woke up to an incessant buzzing near my head. I groaned, rolling over and trying to ignore it. Then it stopped. I sighed happily, relaxing and going back to sleep. Well, almost.

*Buzzz. Buzzz. Buzzz. Buzzz.*

This time, I could tell that the sound was my phone vibrating. If anyone was calling me at this time of morning, then they are not in their right mind, and may possibly end up dead. Because of me. The buzzing stopped again.

I rolled over, trying to go back to sleep again. And then again.

*Buzzz. Buzzz. Buzzz-*

"What the hell do you want?!" I yelled into he speaker, having rolled over to answer the damned thing.

"Holy. Calm the fuck down," the voice on the other end said, laughing at me.

"Melanie, why the hell are you calling me this early?" I said to her angrily, although not as angry as when I first answered it. It was Mel after all.

"Claire, it's 2:00," she pointed out.
"Yeah, and your point?" I inquired.
"It is not early after 11:00."
"In my world it is."
"The only world you have is on minecraft."
"And there, early is any time before 3."
"Well, that's unfortunate, because band practice started at noon."
"Band practice is tom- wait, no it isn't."
"No, it isn't."
"Shit. I totally forgot. I'm so sorry."
"Yes, I know you forgot."
"I'll get dressed, and then I'll be over."
"You better be."
"Yeah, yeah."
"Because if you didn't, I would personally hunt you down and smack you."
"Yes, I know. Goodbye, my violent friend."
"I am not violent."

And with that, I hung up, quickly jumping up and heading towards my closet. I picked out a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, brushed my teeth, and then grabbed my guitar and left.

I got to Mel's about twenty minutes later. I would've gotten there sooner, but my sister's being whiny and wouldn't drive me. I swear to god, if her period doesn't end soon, I'm gonna throw something. Her periods are so annoying. All she does is whine. Well, she's also really cuddly and tired, but mainly she's whiny, especially about her cramps.

When I walked in, I seen that my weirdos- *cough* sorry, I mean my friends- were just staring at the door, apparently having been waiting for me to get here. As soon as I walked in, I was attacked.

"Where the hell were you?" Eva yelled.
"Did you sleep in again?" Gabby.
"Wow, don't tell me you forgot again." Ellie.
"What took you so friggin long?" And Mel.

"Ok, ok! Calm down! One question at a time!" I yelled to the room. They all went silent, looking at me sheepishly. "Ok, Eva first."

"Where the hell were you?" She asked me.

"Sleeping," was my simple reply. She rolled her eyes at me. "Ok, Gabby?"

"Did you sleep in again?" She asked me, knowing the answer already.

"Yes," I said, her sighing at me dramatically. "Ellie?"

"Don't tell me you forgot about practice again?" She said, flabbergasted.

"Maybe..." I said, avoiding eye contact. I was about to ask Mel, but she beat me.

"What took you so friggin long?" I looked at her innocently.

"Felicity wouldn't drive me, and refused to let me drive myself." I explained, annoyed at her for it.

"It was a good call on her part," Ellie teased. I stuck my tongue out at her.

"Ok, so what have you been doing without me?" I asked them.

"Well, we've just been practicing really. We can't think of any new lyrics."

When Gabby said that, I suddenly remembered the page I'd quickly shoved into my pocket before I left. I reached into my pocket and grabbed it, trying my best to smooth out the wrinkles that had appeared after the paper got crinkled.

They all grinned at me, knowing exactly what it was. I tended to use a certain type of paper for song lyrics, so they always knew when I had new ones. They were always on blue paper with music notes on it.

We walked out to Mel's garage and picked up our instruments. All of us but me kept them there, because tat's where we practiced.

We all went to our respected places, waiting to start. I tried out a few chords, Ellie joining in. Eva quickly found a beat compatible with our chords, and Mel and Gabby started singing along to it.

It was a long, long process, but we finally found music to go with the words, after changing a few of them, and were learning it quite easily.

"Ok, let's try it again, from the top," I suggested, everyone else nodding in agreement.

"Why, oh why do you look in my eyes and lie, lie, lie? Why, oh why do you tell me you're fine, when you're by my side-"

Gabby started, but was interrupted by a knock at the garage door. We all looked at each other confused. Everyone we knew, knew that we had practice every Tuesday and Thursday. Everyone we knew also knew that we should be left alone when we're practicing.

Gabby sighed, and, being closest to the door, went to see who it was. The next thing we heard was Gabby's angry voice, "what the hell do you want, asshole?!" She said to the person out front.

Shit, Gabby was angry, and that would not end well. I quickly rushed to the door to find out what was going on, before she punched the person.

When I got to the door, my immediate reaction was to push Gabby behind me. This guy was a violent asshole, and I had no doubt he would swing at her if he felt the need.

I noticed Ellie coming up behind us. "Ellie, make sure Eva doesn't come out here, please," I said to her. I said it to her, but I never broke eye contact with him, knowing he's the kind of coward who'd hit me when I wasn't looking.

"You girls go wait inside. I'll deal with this son-of-a-bitch," I said, pissed right off. I still didn't look away from him. The girls knew better than to argue with me when I got like this, so they did as I instructed.

"What the fuck do you want asshole?" I asked him, seething. He grinned evilly at me.

"I want her back," he said. Oh, hell no bitch!

"Well, that sucks for you," I told him, "she doesn't want you back." That was a lie, but he didn't need to know that.

"I think you're lying," he said.
"Think what you want, Tyrone" I said back.
"I want her back!"
"That's too bad!"
"I will get her, whether you let me willingly or not."
"I'm gonna go with not."

"Suit yourself," he said, raising his fist. I put my arms up, ready to protect myself if I needed to, but also ready to fight back. Like I always say, 'a lady never throws the first punch, but she's guaranteed to throw the last.'

"Didn't you mother ever teach you not to hurt a lady?" A voice asked from behind him. For some reason, that voice was familiar.

"You call that a lady?" Tyrone asked, referring to me. Ok, that stung.

"She," the voice emphasized, "is a lady, and I suggest you leave." I seen the person behind Tyrone move closer. I don't know why, but I couldn't pinpoint the voice, and it totally calmed me down.

Next thing I knew, Tyrone's fist connected with my face and I fell to the ground. I hit the ground hard, my body hitting the ground first, my head connected after. Hard.

My head started to pound,my vision going blurry. The last thing I remember is Louis-where did he come from?- moving to punch Tyrone, and me telling him to save Eva.

After that, everything went black.
