*Clarissa's P.O.V*

I seen Felicity go upstairs after she told me that Zayn was going to call his family and "the boys" who I assumed were the rest of the band.

I really wanted to talk to him, but I didn't wanna bother him. I quietly walked up the stairs and stood outside Zayn's room. I heard him talking on the phone. I knew I should have walked away, but something just seemed off. I crept closer to the door. "Yeah Mum. Yeah, she's great. Yes, she remembers me." He must have been talking about Felicity. I pressed my ear to the closed door to hear better. I heard my name mentioned and tuned back into his conversation.

"No, she doesn't seem to like me much. No, Clarissa just doesn't seem to want me here, she kind of makes me uncomfortable." I was sick of hearing about this. I hurried downstairs and wrote a letter to my sister. I ripped the paper a few times because I was pissed the fuck off.

" Felicity,
I heard Zayn talking about me on the phone. He said I made him uncomfortable and that he didn't want to be here. Apparently I "don't like him very much." How dare he?! He didn't even think to talk to me about this, did he?! No, of course fucking not. I am going for a swim. If you need me, you know where I'll be.
Sincerely,
Clarissa

I ran out of the house crying. From anger or sadness, I couldn't really tell. I was feeling a lot of emotions all at once and I was confused. I rushed to the beach, still crying. I went in waist-deep and dived in.

I could feel my tail forming and it helped a little. It's been awhile since I was in this form, I've been really busy with school and stuff. My tail always helped. It made me feel free and like I belonged. I always had trouble fitting in everywhere before this year. Second Generation didn't notice me until this year, so I never fit in anywhere and had to hang out with my sister's friends.

My tail made me feel like I fit in. I felt like I belonged in the water. I never felt out of place here. This was my home.
I used my super speed-which came with the tail-to swim to the Moon Pool.

The Moon Pool was a place my sister and I found the first time we transformed. I was 8 and she was 10. We went swimming at a lake behind our house. It felt weird the first time, but ever since, it's been the best feeling ever.

When I got to the Moon Pool, I hopped onto one of the big rocks in the water. I stared at my tail. It was a really pretty dark blue colour, and it had sparkles all over it. I stared at it for a little while longer, just thinking.

After a while I wasn't mad anymore. I thought I was fine for a while. Then, all of a sudden, I started to cry. Why didn't he love me as much as he loved Felicity? I was his sister too! Everyone always thinks she's better, just because she's older. She isn't, though. We're all good at stuff. Just not the same stuff sometimes.

I finished crying about a half an hour later. I just sat there silently. Eventually, I was getting ready to leave and actually go swimming when I heard someone else in the pool.

*Zayn's P.O.V*
After I finished talking to all the boys, I called my mum.
"Hey, Love," she answered
"Hey mum"
"So, are you settled in?"
"Yeah mum."
"Is Felicity glad to see you? Is she doing ok?"
"Yeah, Mum. Yeah, she's great"
"Does she remember anything?"
"Yes, she remembers me."
"Does Clarissa remember anything?"
"No, she doesn't seem to like me much."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, she doesn't seem to want me here.. it kind of makes me uncomfortable." I though I heard footsteps walking away, but quickly looked and seen no sign of anyone being anywhere near my door."

"Zayn? Are you there?" My mom asked from the other end of the line. I forgot I was on the phone with her for a second.

"Yeah, Mum. Sorry, what did you say?"
"I said, what do you mean?"
"Oh, right. It's just that I feel like I did something wrong. Or that she just doesn't want to be related to me at all."
"I'm sure that that isn't true, love. Maybe you should talk to her about it."
"Yeah, I think you're right."
"Alright, well I'll let you do that then. Bye, I love you."
"Bye mum, I love you too." After that, I hung up. I was about to get up to find Clarissa when Felicity rushed into my room. "What the hell did you say to Clarissa?!" She asked me angrily. I looked at her confused. " What?" She shoved a piece of paper into my hand, glaring. It was a letter addressed to Felicity from Clarissa. It said:

Felicity,
I heard Zayn talking about me on the phone. He said I made him uncomfortable and that he didn't want to be here. Apparently I "don't like him very much." How dare he?! He didn't even think to talk to me about this, did he?! No, of course fucking not. I am going for a swim. If you need me, you know where I'll be.
Sincerely,
Clarissa

I read it over twice and then twice more. "Well?!" Felicity was still glaring at me. "No! I didn't do anything to her!"
"Then what is she gone for?!"
"No, I mean I didn't intentionally do anything to her. She must have heard my conversation with my Mum and heard me wrong."

"Well, what exactly did you say then?" She asked, calmer now. "I told her that I didn't think Clarissa liked me very much and that I didn't think she really wanted me here. Then I said that she made me uncomfortable." Felicity started to glare at me again.

"No, I didn't mean it like that." I said, trying to get her to hear me out.  "She must have run off before i could explain what I meant. I thought I heard someone run away from outside my door... like I explained to my mum, it's because she gets all awkward around me. It makes me feel like I did something wrong or that she regrets being related to me at all."

"Well, then what are we doing here? You need to go talk to her," she said to me sternly. "But I thought you said she ran away?" I replied, confused. "Yeah, I know. But she didn't run, she swam!" I was still confused. "Is that supposed to be a hint? Because I'm still confused.." She sighed, annoyed with me apparently. "There's only one place she would swim to when she was emotional." She said it like it was supposed to be something I knew. "Which is where?" I said, she didn't seem to realize that I didn't have a clue what was going on. "The Moon Pool!" She said. She said it like it was the most amazing place on Earth, which, to them, it probably was, if they went there when they were upset. "So, where is this 'Moon Pool'?" She got an annoyed look on her face again. She sighed, frustrated. "Ugh, I'll show you. You feel like going for a swim?" I didn't answer, knowing the question was rhetorical.
-----------
After we got to the beach, she headed straight towards the water. I hesitated at first.. it's been awhile since I was in merman form. I finally waded into the water and watched as my tail formed. It was bright red and shined in the moonlight. I looked over and noticed Felicity admiring her tail as well. Her tail was a bright green colour, and covered in.. sparkles? Apparently I hadn't gotten a good enough look the other night. She looked at me and gave me a smug as hell look. "You like?" She asked teasingly.

After our five minute tail admiration, we started swimming. I forgot how good this feeling was. I don't really get the chance to swim much, being a world-famous singer and all. I almost forgot how at home I felt in the ocean.

After awhile of high-speed swimming-it comes with the tail- we came to an opening in an island. Felicity and I swam inside and swam to the surface.

She started whispering, apparently not wanting Clarissa to hear her. "Now. You go in there, and you find out what is going through her poor head. I am not letting you back into the house until the two of you sort this out." She whispered fiercely. "Isn't that a little extreme?" I asked, worried.  "I'll put up a tent in the backyard, and if she comes back still upset, you'll be sleeping there for the night." Then she swam away, leaving me alone in the cave.

I slowly swam past a few stone archways built into the island, when I heard some splashing. I turned a corner to see Clarissa swimming around in the small lake-like body of water. She must have heard me, because as soon as I got around said corner, she turned around to see who it was. After she figured out it was me. She glared.

"I think we should talk.." I said hesitantly.
"About what?" She said, keeping her guard up.
"About the conversation you heard between me and mum."
"There's nothing to talk about," she replied stiffly.
"Yes." I said sternly, trying to get her to listen, "I think there is."
"N-"
"Have a seat," I said interrupting her. She glared at me and I gestured to the rock that was just behind her. "I think it's time we did some bonding."
