Moonlight Disaster

CRASH!!

I woke up to a loud crashing sound. I jumped up from my bed and started searching frantically for the source of the sound. After I discovered that it wasn't in my room, I went downstairs to check it out.

To my surprise, I seen Felicity awake and trying to get out the locked door. She must have been sleep walking or something, because she hadn't even tried to unlock it.

Just then it hit me. Tonight was the full moon.. "Shit!" I said out loud. I went to try to get Felicity to go back to bed by grabbing her hand and walking her to her bedroom, but she had moved at the last minute and headed toward the stairs. I meant to yell at her to wake up-although I knew it wouldn't do anything- when I remembered Zayn was sleeping upstairs. "Shit!" I said aloud again.

I was really glad that we had put black sheets and blankets up over all the windows earlier, I still had a clear head
I then noticed something. Felicity was gone..  I then heard a noise upstairs. Zayn!

I rushed up the stairs to find Felicity walking into Zayn's room. Uh oh..

See, the thing is, on the full moon, bad things happen to mermaids. One look at the moon and we totally lose it. We have the sudden urge to be in the water and we can't think straight.

I tried to stop her but she just kept walking. Zayn must have felt her looming over him, because he suddenly woke up. It took him a few minutes to fully wake up, but when he did, he yelled and quickly jumped from the bed.

I was really worried for him. You can never tell what will happen once we see the moon. But, luckily, she just started to sing. I guess tonight was one of the full moons when we turn into sirens. Fucking awesome, I thought sarcastically.

Usually men would be wildly attracted to her when she sings, but, to my surprise, Zayn didn't react at all. I looked at him puzzled when..

"Your sister's a mermaid?" Zayn asked

I looked at him blankly. "I'm sorry, what?"

But he didn't have time to answer, because suddenly Felicity stopped singing and collapsed on the bed. She was going to wake up soon.

About an hour later, Felicity finally woke up.

"What happened?" She asked, worried about what had happened.

"Nothing, really. It was a siren night."

Then she realized that Zayn was sitting next to her as gave me a warning look.

"Relax, he knows" I said.

"What? How?"

"That's a very good question." I said, looking at Zayn sternly. "I think it's time we had a chat."
