"He is being surrounded," Qhuwat thought out loud. "He is getting taken."

"Commander, I got you," another voice from the device let out. The voice was faint but they knew Tekku was being rescued.

A moment, of weird noises of clothes and armor, later they heard Tekku's voice again.

"Commander, I'm not sure we will get out of this alive. We have chosen to run. Three esyrs are fighting them. They know the difference between an aspera and us. We can use them!"

A scream was heard in the distance on the device.

"Nadian, we can use esyrs as a weapon! If we catch a child and tame it- woah!"

"What's going on?" Nadian asked. "Tekku? Tell me what's going on."

"I... I fell," Tekku's voice let out gently but disturbed by his panting.

"Are you okay?"

"Nadian... I think they are all dead."

"Where are you?" Nadian asked as he looked at the other device. His warriors wanted coordinates. "Who's dead?"

"My warriors are dead. I don't know where I am..." Tekku let out. "I fell into a cave. I can't get up. The ground just fell apart under me."

"You are in the mountains, right? The Esyr Mountains?" Nadian asked. He knew Tekku was there. He sent him there.

"Nadian," Tekku let out. Nadian paused everything he was doing. That voice... That voice Tekku was using. It made Nadian scared. "I see her."

Qhuwat gulped when he immediately understood who Tekku was seeing.

"Tekku, get out of there. Don't attack. Keep yourself low."

"They know I'm there."

"Tekku, get away from there!" Nadian demanded.

"She- she sees me, Nadian..."

"TEKKU!" Nadian yelled into the device.

Qhuwat noticed Nadian's gritted teeth and clenched fists.

"Please tell my children I love them," Tekku said in a gentle but terrified voice. "Tell them that everything I've ever done was in the belief that I did the right thing for them."

"Tekku, just get out of there! Don't talk like that," Nadian hissed through the device. "Just run. Run!"

No one has ever seen a queen and survived, Tekku thought as he watched the only female in this cave. Only that small queen on their home planet had some people survived...

The female was surrounded by hundreds or rather thousands of grown males, babies, and eggs.

So it was true. They actually had a queen on their planet. She had been here for at least a few days. Tekku could easily tell by the many asperas.

Nadian was shouting at him to get away from there. It was probably the best plan but... what if he stayed? Someone had to kill the queen.

"Wait for backup!" Nadian shouted through the device as if he could read minds over great distances.
