Come on! Aitan thought desperately. I can do this!

"Commander Novack!" the green alien shouted. Novack was the winner. It was no doubt.

Just as the words had left the green commentator Novack let go. Aitan immediately started gasping for air. Novack got away from on top of Aitan.

He dusted himself off with a confident smile.

The crowd was a mess of cheers and yelling. Many of them had bid on one of them to win.

You should always bid on a commander rather than a child who wants to become something greater. That's how many of them had thought. And they were right.

Aitan had to learn and take more time to achieve what he wanted. Now his foolishness had its cost...

But who cares? Aitan laughed in his head. I'll soon be gone anyway. Novack won't get me. I won't be his slave of any kind.

He got up. He glanced shortly at the crowd before turning to Novack. The black alien was smiling with a hint of something dangerous.

Aitan suddenly realized something terrifying. He turned to his father with a questioning look. I'm not going to stay here, am I? Aitan thought. I have to go to Ponnarrah, right? It's an order from a commander. I can't deny the command but I can't deny staying here either. Aitan's mind raced and landed on the terrifying thought: many conflicts between commanders get solved with a fight. Tekku can't beat Novack if I can beat my father. I would have to stay with Novack then. Fuck...

"Aitan," Novack said just as Aitan turned to walk away from the arena. "Stay. You are mine now."

Aitan stopped, thinking. Aitan didn't want to stay... But he had to. Should I tell him I'm leaving? Leaving to Ponnarrah? He would probably get mad.

Novack smirked but Aitan didn't see it. He still stood with his back to Novack.

The black cannarrian walked up to the green alien and grabbed the microphone he had been carrying around.

"Obey me, Aitan," Novack spoke into the microphone, making everyone hear him. "Come here," Novack commanded.

Aitan swallowed and turned around. Aitan stood there for almost five seconds. Novack's eyes were locked with his own and he felt slightly nervous. He had no other choice but to obey. Not any other good choices anyway.

"Come here, Aitan," Novack said.

Tekku stood up and walked away when he saw his oldest son step up to the black commander.

Bend the rules...

Tekku had an angry glow in his eyes as he walked away. He would not let his son get traumatized by Novack.

He had seen it happen to so many others. His firstborn was perfect! Tekku thought with anger. No one shall break him.

It was at this moment Tekku realized how much he appreciated his children. He didn't want to lose them. They might be seeking dominance in bad ways but he still cared for them even though they have killed many of their own.
