Marco hates me, Bewo thought. He had said it himself.

He hugged Marco closer, pretending that everything was okay. That Marco loved him.

Bewo dialed in the code to the healers' room. His eyes quickly landed on a dark orange alien.

"Bewo, what happened?" Hevero asked with worry looking at the 'human' while running toward them.

"I... Hevero?" Bewo let out, confused. For some reason, he hadn't expected Hevero to actually be here. He didn't know if he should be happy or furious. Hevero had covered Kajeel up. He should be punished but if Hevero was their only healer...

"Bewo, what happened?" Hevero asked again and quickly took the aspera away from Bewo.

"I..."

"Bewo, I need an answer, or I can't heal him as fast if I have to find out for myself what happened."

"I don't know?"

"You just found him like this?" Hevero asked and turned around to walk up to a table to lay the aspera down on.

"No- wait. You can't just take him from me-" Bewo said. "You could be an aspera."

Hevero turned around as he had laid 'Marco' down. He looked intensely and offended at Bewo.

"Me? An aspera? Ha, you can check me if you want." Hevero turned around. "I don't care... Just don't slice my throat up as you did to Marco though," Hevero laughed. "Speaking of Marco, what did you do to him? Or did you find him like this? Do you know if someone did this to him?"

"We-umm," Bewo mumbled. Why was he shy? He didn't care! "We were making love and at the end I kind of pressured him and he started to bleed out of his eyes."

"He forced me," the aspera said with an angry tone. "Can he do that?" He tried to find the healer's eyes.

"I'm sorry, Marco, but he can do whatever he wants with you," Hevero said and quickly noticed 'Marco's' eyes looking weirdly around.

Marco always stares me and others down, Hevero thought. He always tries to seem like a threat.

Hevero briefly waved a hand in front of 'Marco', but the 'human' didn't seem affected by it at all.

Hevero's heart sank at the realization. This is not Marco. He had seen this behavior before. This is an aspera. The wounds... The eyes. Acid had melted the surface. Salt.

"Bewo," Hevero called. He couldn't say it aloud. The aspera could attack them.

The aspera heard a slight tremble in Hevero's voice. If he hadn't been blind, he wouldn't have thought that Hevero might have already figured him out. Fuck that was quick. One glance and the healer already knew?

"Yeah?"

Hevero took a step back and waved a hand in front of 'Marco'.

Bewo could easily see what Hevero tried to show him. Marco is blind... I've made him blind!?

"I think he just needs a bit of this healing liquid here and he'll be fine," Hevero said as he pointed at the device on his arm, telling Bewo that he was writing a message to him.

'This is not Marco. This is an aspera.' The text read.

"Are you sure?" Bewo said. He looked disgusted at the 'human'.

"I'm the expert here," Hevero said.

"Can I do anything to help?" Bewo said.

The two cannarrians had a secret conversation behind all this. To the aspera, it sounded like they were speaking about how to heal him.
