A few days passed and now there was only a month left before Marco's and Bewo's child would be born. Noah would have been about 2 weeks pregnant.

Noah had not let Hevero touch him much. He didn't want to be experimented on.

I'm fine! Noah had told Hevero. There is nothing wrong with me!

Noah had been asking if Marco wanted to go back to Earth with him countless times but Marco couldn't make himself say yes.

Marco had a child awaiting him. He would be a father... a mother? No, I am male, Marco thought, I am a father.

Marco couldn't go back to Earth so he kept telling Noah to go on his own. He had no child bounding him to this place. He didn't have a 'real' owner. Hevero didn't do his job that well at least. Hevero was sweet and all but he certainly didn't know how to treat Noah.

Hevero didn't mean any harm in any way. He only had good intentions but sometimes it just didn't work out.

Hevero didn't know what to do to make Noah accept him. The alien hadn't tried to be intimate with Noah but he didn't want that to be what he had to do. There has to be another way. He had even tried to drug Noah. It worked until the effect was gone. At least Noah hadn't noticed he was drugged. That would not have made their relationship any better.

There weren't many options left. Of course, there was waiting but Hevero did not like waiting when he knew there were other possibilities.

They could erase Noah's memory. It would make Noah a new person. He wouldn't even remember his name. Hevero could name Noah something else and give him a completely new life.

Noah would have forgotten all about his worries.

"If I do this he won't be attached to Marco," Hevero said, holding a needle that was needed in the process of making Noah forget everything. "If he's not attached to Marco he will automatically seek someone else. I will place myself right in front of him." Hevero glanced at Bewo. They were once again standing by the glass watching the two humans. Hevero had not let Noah out of the enclosure many times. "Of course, I will introduce you but I will always be there. Noah will know I'm the best option, Bewo."

"This is not the way, Hevero," Bewo muttered. Bewo turned his gaze from Marco to Hevero. He tsked before grabbing Hevero's wrist with the needle in. "Put that thing away. Find out another way."

"But, Bewo-"

"That's an order," Bewo stated firmly. "I can't let you erase Noah's memory. Noah would have to be getting much much worse for me to allow that."

"Bewo, you know I got him experimented slightly on, right?" Hevero mumbled irritatedly. "I've read his brain. He is sad, Bewo. Not just sad. He's got depression. Do you even know how serious that is?"

"How serious?" Bewo asked and crossed his arms. "Is it a virus? Can it be lethal?"

"It's a state the mind can go into and it differs," Hevero explained and was happy that he got away from Bewo's grip. He kept preparing what he needed to take away Noah's memory. "And, yes, it can be deadly. It can either make him kill himself or it can starve or thirst him or all of it at the same time. Many things can happen and I won't let it happen! Not before it's too late. His mind might forget but the body never forgets, Bewo. The body never forgets."
