Bewo was helped to carry Aitan when they reached the doors to leave the ship. There were a lot of females waiting for them. They were, more clearly, waiting for Orleth's commands. She told them to help the 'males'.

The commander didn't see them as equal as she should be. Being 'male' was being lower in the rankings and hierarchy.

Bewo didn't see females as lower. He saw them as equal. He didn't see himself or other males as being lower than the females.

Orleth used the word 'male' as a curse word. She wanted the males to be offended when calling them 'male'. Like they weren't a part of what she and the other females were.

Bewo didn't bother. Not now at least.

The ship had landed on a building where it was meant to land.

The females helped Aitan, Bewo, Marco, and Noah into the big building they had landed on.

Bewo didn't get to see much of the outside before he was inside again.

Bewo was happy to see a forest and a lake but it was nothing like home. He had a jungle and a whole ocean to look at. This was different.

"You look like you need to rest," a female let out and stroked Bewo's shoulder. "Let me carry him for you."

Bewo didn't get to speak before he was gently pushed away from his brother and the female grabbed Aitan instead.

She's strong, Bewo thought and stared for a moment.

"Bewo," Orleth hissed in a whisper. She used the spear's end which wasn't sharp to knock the floor three times to get his attention. "Eyes. Look somewhere else."

Bewo was about to tell her that she didn't decide what he could do but she could. She was the commander. At home that had been his father. There are no other commanders in that area than my father. That means no one that can tell Bewo what to do, no other than Tekku. Tekku would let him do almost anything. He just had to take the consequences if it came to that. That goes for almost anyone.

"Commander, how am I supposed to obey your rules when there are females around me and talking to me?"

"Ignore them," Orleth said. "You did it just a moment ago. You didn't say a word but you stared. Don't stare."

"I apologize, commander," Bewo said.

A door was opened and only a few females, the ones carrying Aitan, remained to place him down on a table before leaving with the rest.

The doors closed and soon it was just the four males, the commander, and then a healer that came around the corner.

She smiled softly but Bewo didn't see it. His eyes were on Marco. He couldn't help but smile when Marco smiled at him.
