Liack dialed in the code and stepped inside with Aitan and the human.
"Hevero, my friend!" Liack said and smiled when he saw the orange cannarrian. "Why don't you answer when others try to get to you?"
"Liack? Why are you here?" Hevero asked as he turned. "I saw them, and I was just about to- Did you finish the mission that quickly? And why are you already here to get healed?" Hevero sighed. "Wait, did you win?" Hevero asked and looked in shock at Liack and Aitan.
"No-no, he got me down," Liack said as they walked further into the room.
Hevero found Noah carefully following Aitan. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of Noah. His smile faded slowly though.
The human seemed to be healthy, but he didn't seem to be happy.
Hevero quickly got over to help them.
"Sit down all of you and I shall take a look at your mess," Hevero said in a tease as he helped them to sit. He looked shortly with unease at the sharp tool stuck in Aitan's stomach.
Just before they had arrived, he had wandered around looking for tools and medicine to treat them with.
When he had it all he stepped up to Aitan.
"He's the first," Aitan said and pointed to Liack.
"I wouldn't advise that, you two," Hevero said. "You got some nasty wounds, Aitan."
"It's fine. We agreed on it." Aitan looked shortly at Liack who had sat down not far from them.
"Well, your wounds need to be checked now," Hevero said.
Both were about to argue further until they heard Noah make a small gasp.
They looked down to follow his gaze just to meet a dark green cannarrian.
Oh, no, Hevero thought.
"What's wrong, Noah?" Aitan asked.
"Nothing," Noah said and moved closer to Aitan.
"I can help." Larrai's voice was deep. Noah hadn't even noticed how deep his voice was until now.
Noah hated the pictures that formed in his mind. Memories of Larrai touching him under the skirt... No, don't think about it!
Aitan noticed Noah's fear when Larrai moved closer. Why was he afraid?
Larrai knew what he had done was not right. He wanted to apologize but Aitan would question it if he did it now. He could end up dead because he wanted to apologize.
"Let me heal Aitan," Larrai said, thinking that way he could get closer to Noah and apologize. "Then you heal Liack."
To Noah's terror, Hevero nodded
Hevero knew Larrai felt bad for what he did. He knew Noah was afraid of him but... how do you get a fear to go away? You bring it on. Then Noah will learn that Larrai isn't what he thinks he is.
Hevero started treating Liack as Larrai had walked up to Aitan.
Aitan could feel Noah grab his hand and wrist. The grip got harsher the more Larrai stepped closer.
They have met before, Aitan thought. And Larrai didn't treat him well. I can easily sense that.
"Noah, it's okay," Aitan said. Did he have enough evidence to call out Larrai? Not that he actually needed it though.
