My sleep isn't as dreamless as I'd thought. They consist of my time in the orphanage, reliving things Madame Grizel put me through. When I wake, I still feel exhausted. But it's more mentally than physically. As my vision clears, I realize Mando is still outside my area, tarp flipped up so he can see me. I look at him, and realize he's asleep.

I think about what happened earlier, how I absorbed his fatigue, for lack of a better way to put it. How did I do that? Is it something my species of humanoid can just do? I wish I knew more about who and what I am. At the orphanage, I repaired hundreds of thousands of ships. Not a single ship owner ever looked like me. Am I rare? Possibly the last of my kind? Will I ever learn about myself?

I push it from my mind and get up. I carefully step around Mando to get to the vacctube. As I pee, I make a mental note to see if it has a door, and if so, to fix it. It's a little uncomfortable having my pants around my ankles while Mando is a few feet away. If there is no door, maybe I can get a sheet or something to make it more private.

Once I finish and flush, I lay back down in my area. I start thinking about repairs that are still needed. That three weeks on Coruscant showed me that I still have my top notch skills if given a space to work with, proper tools and the time. The spot we docked in was apparently a long term terminal that travelers will use to repair their ships, so I had access to community tools. I made sure they were all accounted for and that we didn't accidentally steal one.

I hear Mando start to wake, and I look over at him. His head rolls, and when it rolls up, I catch a small glimpse of his neck. I'm surprised how tan his skin is for never seeing the sun. "Morning." I softly call out.

"Morning." He mumbles, still half asleep.

"Is there a door to the vacctube over there?" I ask. He looks over, then looks back.

"Not that I recall. I don't even think that's supposed to be a refresher, whomever owned the ship before me just shoved one in there." He answers. I nod and plan on getting a curtain or something. "Did you have fun yesterday?" He asks. I look over and he gestures to my sleeping area. "Setting this up and getting the stuff. Did you have fun?" He asks.

"Yeah. Probably shouldn't have gotten the lights, but they were something I wanted for some time. And you said have fun, so I did." I smile, looking up at the soft lights.

"I'm glad you did. Did you eat at a restaurant or catch a show?" He asks.

"Nah. I'm perfectly fine with ration bars, and I wouldn't even know what I would want to watch. I spent most of my time repairing the ship. It's almost fully repaired. Just need to check the thrusters when we land, make sure the droid pit is sealed properly, and fix the release valves on the escape pod. Other than that, all that's left is the minor things I listed." I tell him.

I can feel his shock, and he seems impressed. "You fixed all that stuff in two or three weeks?" He asks. I hum an affirmative and he whistles. "You weren't kidding about being quick. I definitely made the right choice hiring you." He chuckles, his one leg coming up so he can rest his arm on his knee. I smile at him, then think.

"With all the necessary repairs done, you don't really need me anymore. A child could do the rest." I sigh, not sure how to put my feelings into words. He seems to be picking up what I'm feeling.

"I'd like to keep you on board. Who knows, might have to fight off some New Republic dickheads who think it's their job to bother me. You're the only one I trust to fix the Crest now." He tells me. I look over at him in shock. "You've done good work in such a short time. And you haven't tried to upcharge me for the work being more than originally thought."

I look back at the lights, my chest warm. "But... What do I do when there's no work? Nothing to fix, or clean, or organize." I ask.

"I do have more work for you. My guns need cleaning soon, and quite a few need repairs, if they aren't just scrap metal at this point. Outside that, relax. Rest. Explore whatever planet we're on. I may work a lot, but I relax while in hyperspace. I take rest when I can get it.
