We have both sabers on, forcing Gideon to walk to the bridge. When we enter, Bo looks shocked. "What happened?" She demands as we push Gideon to the others.

"They brought him in alive, and now the New Republic has to pay double." Cara grins, rubbing Grogu's ear.

"That's not what she's talking about." Gideon smirks, "Why don't you kill him now, and take it?" Cara throws Gideon to the floor and I point my saber at his face. He tells Din "it's" his now, and we're both confused. We learn the saber in Din's hand is called the Darksaber, and in order for Bo to weld it, she must win it in combat. Even though Din tries to give it to her, even saying he yields to combat, she doesn't take it.

Gideon stands up and tells us without winning the blade in true combat, Bo would be a pretender to the throne. "ENOUGH!!!" I yell, kicking Gideon's legs out from under him. "We can figure this out later. Without this scum messing with everyone's heads!" I tell them. Suddenly, alarms blare and Fennec says we're being boarded. However, there are no lifeforms.

I look at the screen, and see the Dark Troopers have somehow returned. I growl and head for the elevator after handing Grogu to Din. "What are you doing?" Bo demands. I hold up my saber.

"This can cut through them like a hot knife through butter. I'll protect us." I tell her.

"One fighter against a platoon firing at you? You'd be permanently dead in minutes." Gideon says.

"He's right, you're not going out there." Din says as he puts Grogu in a safe spot.

"What, so I wait until they're here and fight? Where they could kill the baby!? No, I'm meeting them. And if I die permanently, so be it!" I declare. Din grabs my arm, his fear for my life strong.

"I am not letting my wife die out there." He commands. Fennec tells Koska to close the blast doors, sealing us in.

"Death is a real part of our life, Mando. How many times have you almost died on your bounty hunts? If it means you and our son are safe, I will gladly give my life permanently." I tell him. There's suddenly banging at the blast doors, and I realize the troopers are punching their way in.

I pull out my saber, ready to fight. Suddenly, there's more alarms. There's a single X-Wing, and my first thought is Fiona, but she has no idea where we are. As the X-Wing lands, I feel an overwhelmingly strong connection to the Force in this new person. The troopers stop punching the door, and on the screens, they divert their attention towards where the newcomer is coming from.

The new person appears on the cameras, but their cloak's hood hides their face. However, they too have a lightsaber. Bo asks if it's a Jedi. "The Force is strong in them, stronger than our mutual friend. I think they are a very powerful Jedi." I tell her, saber ready. On the screens, this person is cutting through them all easier than I did. Suddenly, Gideon is up with a blaster in his hand, firing at Bo and Grogu. I rush towards him as the others point their guns at him and Din covers Grogu.

Before Gideon can kill himself, I knock him out cold. Grogu climbs up to the screen, placing his little hand on it. If this person really is a powerful Jedi, then I'm losing my baby right after I got him back. But with such a powerful Jedi, he's better protected than with Din and I combined. The person gets to the elevator, and we hear the dark troopers turn and face it, marching to it. It's tense for what feels like an eternity, then the elevator door opens.

Definitely a Jedi, they are using the Force to push and pull troopers like I've done. The Jedi decimates the Troopers, getting closer and closer to saving us. I hold Grogu in my arms, not ready. Din is next to us, and I feel he too isn't ready.

The Jedi destroys the last trooper with the Force, and I'm impressed. Din takes Grogu from my arms and tells Fennec to open the doors. She asks if we're crazy as we get closer to the door. Din puts Grogu in a chair to hide him, then opens the doors himself. I stay with Grogu, holding his hand with my finger.
