Slight Smut

"Come on!!! Why can't I lead an assault in the city!?" I demand. Mando, Jacsava, Daljar, Fiona, Dumbfuck, myself and one of the adults, Geo if I recall, are making the plan of attack. Mando has just said I'll be out the front gate, causing a distraction.

"Because we need to divide the guards, and a frontal distraction is the best way to do that." He states, arms crossed.

"Why me!? Why not Fiona, or Dumbfuck!?" I exclaim. If I'm not in the city, I can't get my revenge on Grizel.

"Because Fiona will be with Daljar, Jacsava and I, Dumbfuck's leading the western group, and Geo is leading the eastern group." He growls, getting pissed.

"Mando, I'm perfectly fine with switching with Thief. She can join you three and I'll lead the distraction. I've done it in the Resistance many times." Fiona offers.

"No. She stays outside of the city." Mando commands, his head facing Fiona. My anger starts to boil.

"Why!? I know the back alleys better than any map you could study, I know passage ways not even Grizel knows about!!! Why are you so determined to keep me out of the city!?" I yell, That Feeling rising up and wanting to choke him, but I hold it back.

"Because I will not risk you getting shot again!" He snaps. Fiona, Dumbfuck and Geo have surprised expressions, and even Daljar and Jacsava take a step back in surprise.

"Why does it matter if I'm shot!? Hell, it's already been proven I can't die via blaster bolts! So it makes a hell of a lot more sense to have me in the fray!!!" I argue. Mando starts advancing on me, making me instinctually back up until I'm against the side of the Crest. As he advances, Mando speaks.

"Why does it matter? You really want all these people to see you get shot over and over? You want me to see you die again!? Do you have any idea how much it hurt to see a blaster bolt come out of your chest and you crumble like a stack of cards!?" He's so close he's got me pinned to the hull, arms on either side of my head caging me in.

"I will not witness you die over and over, or be hurt by those people ever again. I promised to keep you safe, and if I had it my way, you'd be waiting in the Crest for our return instead of leading the distraction." He growls lowly, so low I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who heard it. I look into his visor, determined.

"Imagine feeling that blaster bolt go through you. The pain I felt before I felt absolutely nothing." I tell him quietly and calmly. I see him shudder for a second. "Yeah, not pleasant at all. And I'm willing to risk it again to personally place Grizel's head on a pike. Also, if I'm with you, you can cover my back as I cover yours.

"What would you rather have: me with a ragtag group while guards fire at us anyways, no one watching my back and wondering if I'm still in one piece; or for you to be right there with me, covering my back yourself and knowing without a doubt that I'm ok?" I'm still looking into the visor, hoping I'm looking him in the eyes.

He's stock still, knowing I'm right. I can feel he's conflicted, and just keep looking into the black T. He eventually sighs and touches our foreheads together. "You're right. I can keep you safer if you're next to me. Fine. You will join Jacsava, Daljar and I, and Fiona will lead the distraction." He says. I smile and he shakes his head while backing up.

He starts to walk away and I barely pick up him calling me a pain in the ass. "At least I'm an adorable pain in the ass!" I grin, skipping after him.

"Don't push it, Cyar'ika." He deadpans. We rejoin the others, and for the rest of the day we plan out the attack. Fiona and her group will attack the front of the city, drawing out as many troops as possible and possibly destroying the main gate. Dumbfuck will take her group along the west side of the city and Geo the east side, both of them scaling the wall to surprise attack any and all guards they encounter.
