Arguments and Marriage

I follow Din into the tavern on Sorgan, hoping to recruit Cara. I'm sad we don't have enough time to visit Omera, but it will take a day to get there and back. There's a crowd surrounding something, and I can hear people fighting.

Din lifts me up over the crowd, and I can see Cara is fighting a male Zabrak, the two of them tethered. When Din puts me down, I tell him what I saw. "They're doing it for entertainment and credits, we don't need to break it up." He says, leaning against the wall.

We wait out the fight, and I'm happy that Cara won. We walk up as she collects her credits, and Din asks if she's looking for work. She smiles at us and we get a table together. Din fills her in as the server pours her a glass of spotchka.

She's not fond of the idea, no matter how Din spins it. Then he tells her the client is Imperial, and I'm shocked. "Wait... You took an Imperial bounty all those months ago!?" I demand. He looks to me, and I can feel he didn't mean for me to find out. Cara smiles and says she's in.

I get up from the table and walk away, pissed. After seeing what the Imps did to my whole life, to my city on Gavin X, he would accept a job from them!? Granted, it brought the little bug into my life, but to work with the remnants!!! To turn the kid in to them in the first place!!!

I hear Din call after me, and I keep power walking to the ship. "Kira, wait! Let me explain!" He calls out. I use That Feeling to trip him, but it doesn't keep him down for long. "Kira! Stop!" He yells. In my anger, I use That Feeling to pull him to me, then pin him to a tree.

"Don't. Call me. Kira. You aren't allowed to use my real name right now. You're lucky I'm even walking to the ship, Mandalorian. How could you take a job from the fucking Imps!!! After a Moff bought my virginity!!! After everything on Gavin X!!!! Fuck you!" I throw him to the side, and try to not let the hurt radiating off him sway me.

We board the Crest and I go straight to my room. I scream into my pillow, accidentally letting out That Feeling and sending the trinkets Din gave me flying. I feel the ship fly, then enter hyperspace. After a few minutes, there's a knock on the door. "GO AWAY, MANDALORIAN!!!" I yell.

"It's Cara. Can I come in?" Cara's voice calls out. I sigh, and use That Feeling to push the button to open the door. Cara walks in, and looks around as the door closes. "Woah. You did a number on your stuff. But I like the fairy lights." She says, a poor attempt to make small talk. I don't answer, and she sighs, sitting on a crate.

"What do you want?" I ask, staring her down. She nods and leans forward on her knees.

"Mando didn't go into detail, feeling it's your story to tell and not his, but he did tell me you have a very rough experience with the Empire." She starts, "And he told me a little of how you rallied a city into a rebellion against an Imp ass kisser. He fully understands your hatred of the Empire."

"If he truly understood, why the hell would he take a job from them!?" I demand. I can feel he's on the other side of the door, and yell loud enough for him to hear, "HE'S NO BETTER THAN GRIZEL! USING ME AND KEEPING ME IN THE DARK!!!" I feel the stab of pain in his heart my words left, and try to not feel guilty. My anger is justified. Cara sighs before she speaks.

"Apparently, when he took the job, it was the highest paying one available. He didn't even know it was Imperial until he met with the client. He couldn't exactly back out at that point. Mando feels really bad for not telling you, but the right moment to tell you never came up.

"He's hurting, because he hurt you. But hey, the job may have been for Imps, but look at the bright side! You have the kid, you met me and some other awesome people. Hell, from what I heard, you learned your real name! And your birthday, as well as your parents names!" She smiles widely as she says the last part, and I sigh. I'm quiet for a few moments, reflecting. I realize something, and look up at Cara.
