I'm finally ripped off the glass, the pain washing away in sweet relief. I'm shaking as my vision clears, and I feel Din's arms holding me tightly. His gloved hand is over my mouth, probably to dampen my screaming. As I get control of myself, Mythrol plays a recording basically telling them what I was told. I'm just thankful I don't have to speak for a while.

The recording mentions Moff Gideon, and Din guesses it's an old transmission, due to Moff Gideon being dead. Mythrol tells us the recording is three days old. Fear makes me shake more. Of course the bastard survived the crash. Suddenly there are a number of Stormtroopers in the hallway we're in. Din covers me and he drags me to cover, leaning me up against the wall, then facing the troopers to fire at them.

I sag against his back, still recovering from the ordeal of that creature. The Force offers to take over until I'm ok, but Din and the others get the troopers handled quickly. Din says we need to get the kid, and Cara tells him to jet back since it will be quicker. He nods and goes to lift me, but I stop him.

"No, I'll weigh you down. I'm safe with Karga and Cara. Go, get the baby." I huff, finally able to stand on my own two legs.

"I'm not leaving you behind. They could capture you too." Din says as he goes to pick me up again. I use the Forse to push him down the hall.

"The baby is more important! The more time you spend arguing with me, the less time you have to get him! Go!" I demand. He doesn't like it, but runs without me. Cara goes to put my arm around her shoulder, but I tell her I'm fine, and we start running. Troopers come out, but we fight our way through the halls.

"Mando still treating you like your glass?" Cara asks as we run.

"I mean, she did just scream in pain and couldn't move for a bit. I heard she cracked her skull open without so much as a flinch." Karga says, taking out a few troopers. I don't comment, and we come to the door that leads to the platform.

Mythrol opens the door, and we're almost to the elevator when it opens, dumping out more troopers. I quickly grab Mythrol and duck behind crates. We're trapped, there's too many coming out, and more will come from behind at any moment.

I see Cara look at the transport Mythrol mentioned earlier as he says we're trapped. She tells us to cover her, and I follow her, using my saber to deflect bolts as we run to the transport. We get in and she starts up the vehicle. It fires up, and she drives it forward to the guys, blowing off the tarp. The door opens and she tells them to get on.

I hop out to cover them as they get in, then reboard. Karga is in the other seat, and I run down to the gunner's seat, ready to go. She drives forward again, then stops. I can't get the gun low enough to fire at the remaining troopers, but it doesn't matter as the vehicle spins.

"You're not seriously considering going over-" Mythrol starts, but Cara interrupts him, telling us all to hang on. I turn around and cling to the seat as I see Cara run through crates, then go off the edge. Karga, Mythrol and I scream in fear, and I can feel the adrenaline spike in Cara.

We fall through the air, then hit the ground hard. I hear metal crunch and glass shatter. As Cara drives off, I see we landed on Mythrol's speeder, just as he asks if that was it. Cara ups the speed, making Mythrol fall back. I turn back around and man the guns. No way they're letting us go that easily.

Just as I thought, I see three troopers on speeders chase us, and they fire at us. "I got it, keep driving!" I call forward. Karga still joins me, firing his blaster out the open windows. I get one of them and Karga cheers. The last two seem to form a plan and separate, going around the vehicle. Karga shoots at them, but misses.

He calls to Cara we've lost them, and I hear blaster fire up front as I look around with the targeting system. We all grunt as Cara slams the ship to one side, taking out one of them in an explosion. We both cheer, and I keep looking for the last one.
