I find I don't have the energy to look over the ship, nor visit Fiona, or even check in with the Covert. And what Karga said about the Client really has me worried. I stay in the cockpit the whole time Din is gone. Hours pass before he returns.

When he does, his whole armor set minus his right leg pauldron is brand new and shiny. He looks at me, and I feel him pause. He must see how depressed I am with the baby is gone. "Wow. A whole new suit. It truly was one high ass bounty." I say, trying to sound happy for him. He sighs, then sits in the pilot seat, firing up the ship. "The Client, were they nice people?" I ask him. Din turns to me, and doesn't answer. "Please, tell me he's with people that care about him. That will take care of him, and love him."

Din turns away, not answering me. I can feel his answer though. My heart breaks for that poor baby, and I hug my knees, crying into them. I look up to see Din pause as he screws the ball the kid played with back on the lever. I cry harder into my knees, seeing that sweet little boy try to nibble on the ball in my mind.

I also feel him reach out through That Feeling. He's in pain. I stand up, ready to go save him. "I can't stay. I have to save him, Din. He's hurt!" I tell him. I get two steps before Din shuts everything down. He gets up and tells me to stay with the ship, and be ready to take off as soon as he gives the word.

I look at him in surprise. He climbs down the ladder and I follow him. He grabs his ammo like he's going on a hunt, then pauses at the door. He turns to me, then steps up. He covers my eyes with one hand, then I feel his lips give me a deep kiss. "Don't cry, I'm getting the kid back. He'll be safe in your arms again. I promise." He says. I look at him in shock.

He then opens the ramp and heads back into the city. I watch him go, and somehow love him even more. I get the ship ready so the baby will be safe while we travel. More hours pass, and the sun sets. I stand on the open back hatch, trying to figure out what's going on.

I reach out with that feeling, but the baby is either asleep or unconscious. I'm afraid to check in with Din, worried I might accidentally give his position away. Suddenly, in the middle of the city where I can see, there's a fire fight. Must be the Client's hired goons trying to take the baby back from Din.

I use the communicator in the ship to call the Covert, telling them Din is in trouble saving a child. They promise to give him backup and I wait. I watch the Covert get into positions as Din uses his flamethrower. Then the Covert attacks. I smile, thankful they got there in time.

I then see Karga running to the Crest. I meet him, giving him a hug. "Thank the Maker you're ok! Did you escape the goons?" I ask him. He has a pained look on his face before he grabs my arms and cuffs me. I look at him in shock.

"Mando broke the Code taking back the quarry. You're the only thing I have to barter with him." Karga says as he pushes me to the Crest. I beg him to let us go, but he has me hide with him in a vent. Din runs up to the ship, yelling for me to start the ship. Once he passes our hiding spot, Karga has me come down with him.

He has his blaster to my head, and my whimper alerts Din. He turns around, and I can feel the anger radiate off him as he sees me cuffed, blaster to my head. "I didn't want it to come to this. But you broke the Code! And now I have to threaten Thief! I'll trade you. You give me the quarry, I'll give you Thief back." Karga demands. Din looks to the carbon freezer, and I nod. He shoots it with his grappling hook, filling the space with icy fog.

I elbow Karga, then rush forward. Once I'm behind Din, he shoots Karga, sending him out of the ship. We quickly race to the cockpit, and I hold the baby as best I can with shackled hands as Din flies us out of here. The kid climbs out of my arms to reach for his ball as Bulky Mando flies up to give us a salute.
