Lena wrings out the dripping cloth and gently glides it around the disfigured burn that melted into the lower right side of Sebastian's stomach. He was out from shock, but the medicine she gave him would help him recover.

She wondered what the two men wanted from him and why he was even in the forbidden forest in the first place. Not to mention how far from Feldcroft it was, could it have been something to do with Anne?

She turns her gaze from the burn to Sebastian's tired face, studying him for a moment before dropping the cloth into the bowl on the table. She then turns her body towards him, the wooden stool creaked as she pressed her lips into a frown.

When Sebastian wasn't in front of her it was a lot easier to second guess her decision on letting him walk away from what he had done, but with him there in front of her, she remembered why she made that decision.

She reaches out and slips her hand over his, his skin was soft. He was simply just a troubled person who lived an unfortunate, dark life.

He only wanted to save the one thing he had left - his sister and in the end he lost her... She glances over to his wand that lay beside the bowl of bloodied water on the table. Guilt flickered in her chest as she thought about all the letters he wrote her, he had nothing and she ignored his cry for help.

She had completely abandoned him. One thing about Sebastian is that he would never abandon anyone, not his sister, his friends or Lena.

She slips her hand away again from him and tilts her head towards the fire, staring into it. Just last night she received his owl and ignored it as she did with the rest of his letters.

She began to ask herself what if she hadn't of gone to refill her jar of spider fangs? What if she wasn't there to help him? What if that letter was the last thing she'd ever hear from him?

She loses herself in memories of their friendship, all the times before things got worse. When they met through their first duel against each other in defense against the dark arts, sneaking into the library, him showing her the undercroft, them visiting Anne, all the places they travelled to together...

If she really thought about it, Sebastian was always there for her. He kept her secrets safe, and they had good times together. Even when things were bad and they fought, they still showed up for each other. He still walked the road to defending Hogwarts with her as she still walked the road to finding a cure for Anne with him.

Maybe she was too focused on the bad, she always was a very optimistic person but after defeating Rookwood, Harlow, and Ranrok, losing not only her mentor but good friend and witnessing one of her best friends kill his own uncle she went cold... things got very dark for a while.

She runs her hands over her face and rubs her palms against her tired eyes. Getting up she grabs a blanket and pulls it over Sebastian, she takes another long glance at him. It felt odd to see him there in front of her, as if she were in a dream.

She places a pillow on the floor beside the couch and lays down. She lets her mind wander as she watches the shadows from the fire dance across the ceiling until her eyes began to get heavy and she fell asleep.

"Lena?"

She opens her eyes slowly, looking up to Sebastian who was sitting up with no shirt on. For a moment she was confused, forgetting about the events from the night before and wondering if she was in some weird dream.
