Lena pulled Alasdaire to the side of the stairs that led down to central hall, her eyes searching the room behind him as she placed her hand on his shoulder and pulled him close.
"What do you know about those two missing aurors?" She asks in a whisper.
"Not much, I know my father and Sharp worked with them before they went missing and that they are a couple but they don't ever talk much about them around me... why?"
"Damnit." She sighs. "I need you to distract Professor Sharp for me."
"Alright, but explain a bit first?"
"Sharp and Weasley have been very suspicious about things, I caught a glimpse of my name along with those aurors names in a journal in his office... I need to find out what is going on." She explains in a whisper.
Alasdaire hesitates for a long moment, watching her intently with his green eyes before he gives her a quick nod. She could tell he had a moment of inner conflict as he was quite close to the potions professor.
"Very well, I'll help you but only if you let me know what you find and fill me in." Alasdaire says with a smile. "If I remember correctly I believe this is his free period... I can go in and see if I can get him to leave the class or at the very least turn away. If you use your disillusionment charm, and be quick. I'll hold him off for as long as I can."
"Deal."
"Come on then, we don't have a lot of time before this period is over."
The two swiftly made their way down towards the potions class, Lena stayed behind in the hall as Alasdaire found Sharp sitting at his desk with a fixed eye on his papers.
She watched carefully as Alasdaire walked up to the door of the potions class, smiling broadly as he called out to him.
"Professor!"
"Alasdaire?" Sharp glanced up from his work with a raised brow. "What is it, you should be in class shouldn't you?"
"Yes sir, my father pulled me from class to talk quickly... but that had me think of a question I had for you. I'm sorry to be a bother but do you have a moment?"
"I suppose I do, what is it?"
"I need some help, in fact I would rather this stay between us, if you may." He began as Sharp dropped his quill into the ink bottle before him and leaned back in his chair with crossed arms. "It's about my father, he is experiencing a bit of... anxiety I'd say, how would you go about making a Draught of peace?"
Lena flicked her wand and hid herself with the disillusionment charm, watching intently and managing her breathing so she wouldn't make a sound.
"A Draught of peace is a hard potion to brew, but, if Evander is struggling I can make one up for him. Come see me tomorrow after class and I'll give you what he needs." Sharp says with a nod as he stands up and places a hand on Alasdaire's shoulder while he attempts to lead him out of the classroom.
Lena's breathing hitched as she was crouched right by the door, frozen. She knew that at the right angle Sharp would be able to see her silhouette.
"Wait." Alasdaire says, stepping before him with a swift smile. "I'll be honest, I figure if he knew I told you he'd be a bit embarrassed to say the least. I would like to make it myself, if you would be willing to help me out, I would be very grateful."
Sharp's eyes narrowed as he let out a long hum. "Very well, come with me I have a few of the ingredients you can use but don't tell any of your classmates I lent you these."
Lena took the opportunity to keep moving, quickly making her way over to the door of his office as she watched him turn Sharp away with more talk.
"Alohamora." She whispers, and with that the lock popped open. She slid in, quickly shutting the door behind her as she glanced around the room quickly. She rushed over to the desk, where she last saw the journal and realized that of course it was gone.
