A spell too far

A little over a week has passed since Lena and Dawn were attacked on the path to Hogsmeade, Lena spent her days in the hospital wing with her friends and teachers coming to visit often. Sebastian was always there of course, as long as there was no class and they had grown even closer during this time. He helped her with everything from keeping her wounds clean and changing her bandages to explaining the assignments from class.

She focused on getting done the assignments her teachers could give her, but she was ready to get to her real classes. She heard her friends talk about making potions and practicing magic and she simply felt disappointed that she wasn't there. She was also missing out on crossed wands, which was one of her favourite after school activities to do or even to just go to with her friends. She just hoped her leg would heal so she could at least go watch.

During this time she heard nothing from Dawn, she wondered what had happened to him. She wanted to at least thank him for helping her that night. She figured that eventually she would have the chance to speak with him again.

"Hey you." Sebastian says as he walks towards her with an excited smile. "What's got you looking so cheery this afternoon?" She asks as she puts down her book and repositions herself on the couch, he steps aside to reveal Professor Weasley standing behind him. "Oh hello professor." She says. "Lena, I'm glad to inform you that the nurses say you are well enough to get back into your regular routine again.. of course you will still need to take it easy, no broom flying, running, duelling etc. but you can return to your common room and classes." She says, Lena's smile grew as she looked between the two of them.

"Yes!" She exclaims, she was happy to hear that she could start getting back into her normal school life again. She was slowly able to walk more and more every day, it was mostly just about the wound finishing it's healing process now. "Be careful until you are fully healed and if you need anything you know where to find me." She says with a wink as she walks off.

"Well where do you wanna go?" He asks. "Shouldn't crossed wands be starting soon?" She asks. "There's no way you are participating Lena." He says sternly. "Why not? I kinda liked spending time here, I might want to extend my stay." She laughs. "No but I'd like to go watch, plus you haven't been able to participate yet this year as you've spent all your time here. Maybe you'd join Natty in a duel or two?" Sebastian sighs. "If you insist." He says playfully.

Slowly but surely they make their way to the clock tower where crossed wands was held, as she walked in she was graciously greeted by Lucan Brattleby. "Lena! Long time no see, I heard you got yourself into quite some trouble with a couple of wolves. Glad to see you're okay." He says with a smile, the once young looking boy started to finally look a bit more grown up since the last time she saw him.

"Thank you Lucan, it's nice to see you. I'm here to watch the duels this afternoon." She says. "Well thanks to you, you brought one of our best duellers you should definitely participate in a few matches Sebastian." He insists. "Don't worry Lucan, I'll definitely show off my skills today." He says with a laugh. That's when Lena notices the rest of her friends all standing by the entrance to the clock tower courtyard. "It was nice seeing you Lucan, I'll speak with you again soon." She says as she takes Sebastian's hand. "When your better I'll be looking forward to seeing you again for some matches."

"Merlins beard, it's Lena!" Poppy exclaims as everyone in the room looked to Lena and Sebastian as they crossed the room. "Hey missy, what are you doing out of the hospital wing this afternoon?"Ominis asks as they join the group. "Im finally free, they say I'm good to get back into my normal routine again as long as I'm careful." She says with a smile. "You better not be thinking we are going to let you join in any duels, because it's not happening." Imelda says. "I came to watch anyways, who is dueling today?" She asks with a smile. "Not entirely sure, a few of the regulars of course but I think there is a few new joins Lucan said." Says Natty as she looks over her wand.
