Lena walks out from the History of magic class that just ended, dragging her heels as she twisted her face into a dissatisfied glare at the mark on the paper that she held before her. She was good at school, especially when it came to any sort of magic but with all the distractions that she had lately she had placed History of magic at the bottom of her priority list and it showed.

She sighed as she slipped her assignment between her books and finally began to make her way towards the very last class of this term - potions.

"Imelda, please. You're being entirely unreasonable about this."

Lena's eyes flickered up as she heard Ominis' voice echo through the hall.

"Unreasonable?" Imelda snarled. "There's nothing unreasonable about it. I'm not a fan of you and her spending all this time alone in her flat and that's that! You should respect it."

"I do respect it but she's also very important to me and I'm all she has right now Imelda."

"Send her brother to stay with her, shouldn't he be the one to go stay with her anyways considering the situation? What even is the deal with you three?"

Lena stepped up to the wall and peeked around, seeing Ominis' tall and slender self standing against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. He had a distressed but also tired look on his face as Imelda stood in front of him. Lena couldn't see her face but she could tell by the way she was standing that she was angry... angrier than usual.

"Imelda you wouldn't understand..." he sighs. "I promise I will spend Christmas with you when I come home."

"You're supposed to be with me, not her. It's suspicious that you're going there."

"Imelda it isn't, please-."

"Make your choice Ominis, I'm not going to beg to be your priority." Imelda snapped before turning away from him.

Lena waited until Imelda was out of sight before she approached Ominis who was still standing against the wall with his fingers pressed to the bridge of his nose.

"Ominis?" Lena says gently, tucking her books under her arm.

"Oh... Lena, hello." He replied, glancing up to the sound of her voice.

"Are you alright?"

"Ah... you must've overheard."

"Well, perhaps a bit."

Ominis let out a sigh before reaching out towards her, gesturing to take her books. She smiled and passed them to him as they began to walk.

"I'll be honest, Lena. Imelda and I are having some issues." He began, the two walking towards their potions class. "She's quite cross with me at the moment."

"I gathered that much, but why?"

"Well, I'm supposed to go stay with Anne for Christmas, we were together last year and I promised her I would be there this year too... she doesn't exactly have anyone else at the moment and Imelda isn't fond of the idea of me going to stay with her."

"You and Anne have been friends for years, surely Imelda knows that."

"Yes, but she still finds it 'suspicious'." He scoffs, quoting the word with his fingers. "She's jealous of her and it's ruining our relationship to be honest."

Lena let out a sigh, feeling badly for Ominis. She liked Imelda and him together and didn't expect for the two to be on bad terms as she assumed they got along quite well but clearly she was mistaken.
